this is going to be sick
Its Going to be Great!
once this is completed you'll be a legend
So glad you posted this on the ai dungeon subreddit, both made me find this and also reminded me about litrpgs! Thanks for all that, and remember to take breaks :]
I saw this in the reddit and the consept is so amazing I'm proud of you good job mate
Damn, that's looking pretty good. Fascinated to see how well you're wrangled GPT-3 once people start playing lol.
I just found out today. Im super excited. A few questions
Will there be a money system
can we make dungeons or characters? ala, like having a hard or purposely impossible to beat dungeon or having a pokemon based enemy randomly spawn or a city
Can i make myself *anyone*? and will i be able to give my character "a visual representation" aka, a profile pic for it.
will i get to have a party
how will enemies work and will players get to make these and send them out or are all of them just completely random basrd on what the ai feels like?
How costly do you think this would be? Just wondering cuz ai dungeon had to increase subscription price just because of gpt3 aka dragon ai and had to lock that in a paywall and understandably so.
and what did the gpt 3 learn on for this? (i know ai dungeon had choose yiur own adventure data)
I'm definitely excited for this game, but something I've been worrying about is: When we get to the point of AI being able to make consistently great games, what will happen to human-made games? They'll be infinitely worse than those from AI and take literal years to make, so what'd be the point?
I actually have an idea that could balance creativity and how the game could play.
so keep everything as is with predetermined stuff (change the names to allow customization though.), add levels and currency and whatever and once the player reaches a certain level and could afford a spell/item brewing pot to use make custom stuff, they could make items, and spells and sell them on the market for others that are that certain level or above as well, and the way they can make these is that they can type half ot some of what the spell does and thrn let the ai determine the rest. Or type out all of it then the player can determine how much (virtual) currency it could cost at base, 1k gold and they have limited uses. (i feel like they could have some way they can be used again)
As for dungeons, theyd be more expensive to create and a story can be attached to it based on something similar to an AI dungeon prompt and a memory type thing to let gpt 3 make a theme. Here the creators can choose a creative mode where you dont really level up and can use any "spell" aka type everything out or a campaign mode where you have to use whatever spell you bought or was completely determined by gpt 3.
Races and classes can be automatically done by paying the subscription as a way to motivate people to start fresh. The races and classes would have to be defined by the player to give gpt 3 some idea on what to do with it.
so basically youd have to try to game out vanilla before you get creative.
