Very useful. Clear explanation.
I think you nailed it. I wasn't able to get my hands on it yet, but from the examples I've seen – we need to create a library of prompts for GPT-3 and everyone can pick their own set to create their own personal assistants. And if it doesn't work exactly as you wanted, just modify the prompt to better suit your needs, it is just a string of text, and share it back with the community.
Are you familiar with John M. Smart? This is basically what he was talking about in his essay "The Conversational Interface". It's a good read, we're almost there.
Have you been using the fine tuning api? I got access to the regular gpt3 beta and I want to create something to write essays for me in my own style of writing? I’ve been playing around in the playground and wasn’t able to feed it enough data to have it replicate my writing
What I'm interested in is what would happen if a GPT-3-powered HTML generator would be asked to code, simply, "Minecraft." Minecraft is a very direct thing, and very likely beyond GPT-3's power to code. Also, it would be interesting if was asked to code something along the lines of "kuuwryffc", just mixed around letters and maybe some numbers.
This is getting crazy I barely know what this stuff is but I can tell it’s a giant step to some hella smart computers
Definitely gonna have a lifelong computer partner in the future it’ll be like a second brain but with a different perspective
There was a game made with GPT 3 I played and one of the characters told me to kill myself irl. I don't like ai anymore
What you said at the end remind me that episode from "love, death + robots" where the guy is addicted to having ai friends that know exactly how he feels and respond accordingly making everyone distanced from the real world and loosing a part of their humanity
I think where GPT 3 is really useful is coding because it is so general you could have a GPT 3 trained especifically for (example) C++ and based on the sentence you give it you could get code easily and without errors

Can you make a scp document bot that will connect all lore together?
GPT-3 is not precise in these applications. That is not the best use for it. But maybe the "killer app" for GPT-3 has yet to be discovered. Your idea of using GPT-3 as a generator of simple personal utilities is intriguing.
Loved the video, Loved your voice. The AI from Google is not called "OK Google". It is called Google Assitant.
An excellent commentary, thanks for your thoughts.
😮😮😮 so fucking genius man this would mean so much for business too, add the main goal of a business is solving problems. I could definitely use this day to day to troubleshoot my clients problems much faster& probably use that saved focused brain time to grow personally & be of even greater help to more people.
Sick.
When do you think gpt3 will be able to be used that way?
I think kurzgesagt has touched on the idea of life-long/education-long assistant AI that will revolutionise the world of teaching forever in a couple of videos that they made. The thinking is always "oh, that'll be 10, or 20 years away". It's always 10 or 20 years, even 5 years ago, it was 10 or 20 years.
With the advent of things like GPT-3 (and who knows what things like GPT-4 will bring), it's starting to look a lot more like 5 to 10 years away, if not sooner.
interesting but i wish you provided an example
Did he say rap battle bots? I'd like to see that.
