Helicopters are the true flying machines. They can take off and land without the need for a runway. They can hover in the air. They can maneuver in any direction in a 360 degree space. This video will unveil the complexity and science behind flying a helicopter. After going through the physics behind the helicopter flying, you will also understand why helicopter pilots are doing an incredibly complex job.

This vedio is good.
Im officially Stupid
This video should be called Bevel Gear Solid.
Now m more confused….lol
The laws of physics pushed to their boundaries… the slightest mechanical failure and you’re going down.
I never knew the blades swiveled like that. cool stuff.
Now all I need is to buy one…
Horrible ecplanation
Great Explanation. Now I can fly a plane thanks to you.
非常好
I still don't ducking understand gyroscopic precession
Companyman's opening music
Airfoil principle? You mean, Bernoullis principle and Newtons third law.
This is why I stay off helicopters . To many mechanical components to go wrong.
One blade angle wrong and your in the drink
شكرا اخي
I'm pleased with the technology and knowledge i got from this video.
Good explanation
So i there weren’t a guy name Newton, there wouldn’t have been planes and helicopters??
They have the blades turning the wrong way for Airbus Helicopters (formerly Eurocopter). Blades are never at a negative angle of pitch, they are merely at a lesser positive pitch.
This video does not even cover half of the forces that comes into play with helicopters. For example, it does not even mention what happens during forward flight, when the blade moving forward gets more lift than the blade on the other side going back, just because of the difference in airflow between the two. If you claim to make a video explaining how it flies, you have to cover everything. Otherwise you will probably just end up confusing people even more.
U guys should work on that GTA liberty city chopper.
the explanation is very good ..
Outclass ?
Can you make one on dual rotor helicopters?
Tom cruise learnt to fly helicopter and able to do stunt within few months…??
You really have to appreciate the genius of the people who invented the helicopter. In a way, they are more fascinating than planes.
I've always wanted to know the workings of a helicopter.
How do work to helicopters flying control & engine to swash plate rotor work,s
Word of the day:
SIDEWARD
I dont think they mentioned how it turns.
Negative angle of rotary blades are unreal. If they are even closer to 0 degree. Helicopter will start to fall down
This video is very inconclusive . You said to thrust the helicopter forward you have to rotate the helicopter forward. You forgot to mention the mechanism that actually helps helicopter to tilt forward.
you are garbage but great vid
Im sure its harder to use a digger than helicopters
Drones taught me everything I need to know about helicopters
Amazing
thanks for making this video,it cleared my all doubts
this is absolutely amazing, the design and mechanical complexity. crazy what we humans can do.
So beautiful
Boring… You should upload this in YouTube Kids
And how does the helicopter's pilot know howmuch is the speed relative to what, and the exact altitude? When you fly a helicopter so high in the sky, you can't really rely your sense by seeing ojects around you just like when you fly low near the surface.
Thanks but wrong! It’s not precession but flapping to equality. All helicopters have a flapping hinge (which might be a flexible hub or blade) but usually a hinge. It looks like gyroscopic precession but it’s not. Go read up and have another go!
Now I am ready if John McClain ever needed my help
Who else got bored when they started talking about swash plates ?
I always thought the main shaft where the fan blades were attached was the one that tilted… instead, it's the bevel gear doing the actual tilting of the fan blades AROUND the shaft. Amazing engineering.
good
