Jonathan Ogden talks about the art of abstract collage, photomontage and digital art and a brief history of how collage came about. He also shares about some of the techniques used for both handmade and digital collage and how you can get better at the artwork you create through recognising layout, balance and colour in other people’s work.

Wow. Really helpful video. Thank you a lot.😍
"It's more to do with understanding layout and balance…" how does one go about doing that?
@enzolancip
1:27/1:28 the record or whatever it is moves, why? Lol🤣
what's the song in the intro called?
Well
If you resize an image digitally is just Photoshop work
This is mindblowing, you enhanced my creative ideas
Picasso do not start anything, search for victorian photocollage. Once again woman credits stole by men *(sorry my english i’m from Chile)
Wonderful! I’m 45 years old and have spent most of my life painting. Unfortunately I’ve found myself in a position where I cannot afford to buy materials. I take care of a terminally ill 15 year old boy and he has something like A.L.S. We have had fun painting and drawing but using scissors and old magazines to make something has become totally amazing!:) I have to say that this video was very helpful and I can understand where you are coming from. I am a musician as well and I loved that you mentioned making a collage is like making music. I thank you for the insight and so does my little guy. Much appreciation. Can’t thank you enough.❤️

Really good video! Thank you
Very helpful video
Greart video! By the way, I have several Jonathon Odgen ancestors. There must have be 5 Jonathon Ogdens in a row. With one being a revolutionary soldier. I'm in the US. Thanks for the insightful video
Beautiful, succinct AND helpful, thank you!
I was just thinking it was like sampling music!! I'm glad someone else noticed the similarity!

Brilliant video mate, loved that you included some art history.
