I see the things like this: any human brain is connected to a universal consciousness. The brain is like a realy complex receiver wich recive,decode and make it understandable to us and the difference between DNA makes everyone get different experience from the consciousness.
We are all already one universal consciousness we are all just a part of yourself just ego fear and selfishness gets in the way
I’m curious… what about 2 or more people liking a particular piece of music, art, or meme? Would that be a version of collective consciousness?

I often ponder the idea that consciousness is an energy form like electricity or sound waves and that we just don't notice because our brains are still very primitive. Its like colours, they always existed but only some creatures developed eyes and even less of them can even see colour.

Universal consciousness would suck, why would you want to know every messed up thing people think and do? I don’t want to know when someone else is masturbating
if your brain has 2 consciousness's one for each half, and that makes not 1 but 2 quantum systems observing the wave function. THIS MAKES MORE SENSE THAN A MANY WORLDS THEORY DOES IT NOT! Eureka moment for quantum physics if this is true. It means we do not require the traditional COLLAPSE of the wave function OR a many worlds theory to explain quantum superposition. We have 2 eyes and each a representation of observation and even accepting the collapse of the wave function becomes easier when you consider "dual consciousness" this explasins the behavior of the wave function in a whole new way does it not? the implication of dual consciousness as a person who LOVES quantum mechanics is VERY interesting in its implications.
This is the most Dystopian thing I can imagine. Better than dying though.
Here's a weird thought…
the internet is essentially this very concept projected to a external device…
so we do technically have this but I but in a different form…
however this thought brings me to this question…
If theoretically a hivemind existed could it be achieved without a entity losing their Social Identity…
In this scenaraio I imagine each mind not only acting as a seperate hardrive that holds data, but also as 1 of many users that can access the infinite wealth of data created by all brains hooked into the hive mind allowing those hooked into it to littera;;y have the skills, learned abilities, and knowledge of a whole civilazation…
but as fucking rad as the Idea of knowing everything seems I also imagine the Universal consciousness would also have a great many of the same downfalls as the internet might though it may manifest in different ways…
Like what if a user learned to hack the mind of another brain in the consciousness, or rewrite the memories of another brain in the universal consciousness…
or even make a persons brain crash all together like a fucked up computers hard drive …
Its a cool thought though I imagine the consequences of this could be dire based on how you want to think of how this hive mind may theoretically work…

I have a somewhat unique prospective on this subject. When I was 16, I suffered a severe TBI to the right side/frontal lobe of my brain(car wreck). I've overcome more than most have ever thought of… due, I suspect, to brain plasticity!
Don't believe the hype when science does present this it will be the last thought you'll ever have and your individuality will be gone for ever and you nolonger exist.
