27. AI Is a scam invented to put new enthusiasm into computers and phones that have crashed into the miniaturization wall. Preprogramed and programmable chips that appear to be "smart" all because Moore's Law has become very difficult.

28. Regardless of any input from humans (good or evil), AI guides and advances itself and will always do what is best for AI, not what is best for humanity.

30. I personally feel that AI is a bubble. I have worked with natural language processing (NLP) for years to try to abstract critical data from pathology reports for research. In order for it to be successful, it requires 2 things: 1) Quality Data In, and 2) People on the other end to verify that we are getting Quality Data Out. It is only effective if it remains focused on certain tasks, and needs adjustment as the data evolves over time.

    The problem right now is that AI has a limited supply of "Quality Data", has too broad of a scope, and also consumes a tremendous amount of energy. It may be good as-is for creative endeavors, but it isn't reliable enough for mission-critical endeavors.

    I don't doubt that this won't change the way we do things for good, and that many amazing applications to the technology will allow us to work with greater efficiency in the future. But, right now, this feels much like the DOT COM bubble and the Housing Bubble. As bad data gets intermixed with good data in AI, algorithms become more and more unreliable. (Sort of like the batches of housing loans during the housing bubble.) Eventually, the market will make a correction, and we will have more targeted products generated to support certain industries.
