You may be surprised to hear that travel to the country isn’t as necessary as you thought to learn a language through immersion. There’s another way to get immersed!
In the first of a series of videos, where I try to explain a #languagehacking concept briefly, I give a quick overview of how to look at this problem.
If you’re interested in learning more about “virtual immersion” to get speaking without needing to go abroad or find an immersion school, check out italki: http://fi3m.com/italki
I wrote a review about it on my blog here: http://www.fluentin3months.com/italki-review
I hope you like the new professional look to the video! 🙂 I may not have that style of animation behind me in future – I’m experimenting! Let me know what you think, and what other kinds of videos you’d like to see, in the comments!
If you’d like to get more intensive experience in how to learn a language, especially French, German, Spanish and Italian, check out the new Language Hacking courses, created in partnership with Teach Yourself (John Murray learning), published in September. You’ll get some nice bonuses if you pre-order! Info on
