Thomas Karlsson:
Thomas Karlsson (born 1972) is a Swedish occultist and esoteric author, with a PhD in the History of Religions from the Stockholm University. In 2007, he held the first Swedish university course in Western Esotericism.
In 1989, he and six other magicians founded Dragon Rouge, a Left-Hand Path initiatory organisation and a Draconian Tradition Order, led by Karlsson. As a book author, he concentrates on occult, philosophy, and paranormal topics. The Dragon Rouge website cites Carlos Castaneda, Julius Evola, and Kenneth Grant as some of the magical writers whose work is read by the order, as are texts by classical philosophers such as Herakleitos, Plato, and Plotinos, as well as modern philosophers like Friedrich Nietzsche, Martin Heidegger, and Henri Bergson.Karlsson is also associated with metal bands Therion and Shadowseeds. His personal influences include Sumerian mythology, alchemy, tantra, the Goetia, and the Qliphoth. In an interview dated in 2003, he claims he experienced astral projections as a child, but did not think of them as supernatural experiences until he started formally exploring the occult

Music:
Karlsson was also the lyricist of symphonic metal band Therion, and wrote almost all the band’s lyrics between 1996-2010. He also provided the whispers on the Therion song Ljusalfheim on their Secret of the Runes album. Nevertheless, Karlsson was never regarded as an official band member.
Karlsson was the lead vocalist of the symphonic death metal band Shadowseeds along with fellow Dragon Rouge member Tommie Eriksson, who also was Therion’s guitarist and drummer. The lyrics reflect the Order’s teachings and rituals. The band is currently on hiatus.

Dragon Rouge:
Dragon Rouge is an international occult order and esoteric academia rooted in Sweden, founded 1989 by Dr. Thomas Karlsson. Dragon Rouge emphasize the original classic Greek tradition of the academia as a school of both body and mind, the carnal and the spiritual life of Man. Dragon Rouge is a school of Draconian teaching and the ladder to Ordo Draconis.

The Red Dragon is an objective reality both inside man and outside. The name “dragon” derives from the Proto-Indo European word derk- “to see,”

They have 11 degrees based upon ancient mystery cults around the world. But also the contemporary science and Benoît B. Mandelbrot, (1924 – 2010) who showed that there are 11 dimensions, while we human live in a 4-dimensional world. Dragon Rouge have the keys and the map, the tools and the knowledge how to get access to the 7 other dimensions hidden from the normal people.

As they emphasize Mankind lives in a 4D reality – Time and Space, but there are 11 dimensions, which means that 7 are yet hidden for most people. Dragon Rouge has the map to these though the World’s most advanced Qliphotic initiation system, that leads through the gates of Lilith, Lucifer and Leviathan.

Dragon Rouge study in theory and practice the dark arts, hexcraft, sorcery and erotomysticism as well as astral projection and lucid dreaming. The goal of Dragon Rouge is to explore and integrate the Shadow in man’s soul. By exploring and not denying the Shadow, it can be transformed from a destructive principle to a creative principle. They are also a strong worldwide brother- and sisterhood.

Amongst Mystics and Magicians in Stockholm:
The book is the first in a trilogy covering the history and development of the Swedish based order Dragon Rouge and the initiatory journey of some of its members. The group was founded on New Year’s Eve in 1989 by Thomas Karlsson and a group of magicians. It has has since grown into a world-wide organisation, and is today mainly centered in Europe and America. In ‘Amongst Mystics and Magicians in Stockholm’, Thomas Karlsson accounts for the initial years of his magical practice during the years 1989-1991 and retells many important experiences that he had at his summer house on the island of Gotland and in Stockholm during the occult boom in the 1990’s. The book contains a lot of references to the sub-cultural context of the author’s youth and accounts of his epochal journey to Marrakesh, Morocco, where he received the prophecy to build a temple for the red Dragon.
