Definitely not worth 14 minutes of my time but gud
Has anyone ever seen the art that moves in The movie The devils Advocate it is lots of bodys set in a huge picture I always like it but suppose this will do lol Good job
An artist with a mostly white creative /aesthetic space, a rare thing indeed!!!
Oh ,I wish I could of been there to help you create composition ………
Not sure why did you complicate things by using wood filler …hard to apply and mold , I use Drytex only and no worries whatsoever
You make it look easy! Thanks for lots of good information and inspiration!
The painting doesn't talk to viewer. Looks more like a canvas prepped for something else.
This is exactly how I started doing abstract art, I saw the prices in the store and said I can do this myself. Lol my mom.actually owns an art gallery and I saw some of her artists work and the prices were crazy but the art is so beautiful. You did an excellent job. I've used tools like credit cards long pieces of cardboard, newspaper alcohol and I throw paint or fluid pour wish is really fun.
What did u use to hang it with
Looks great!
Hi! How long does the spackle take to dry?
Are you people serious!? I've never seen or heard such trash sort of thing a five year old would produce. And you call it art! Lost for words.
😩😩😩😩😩😩 needs color, but thumbs up for creativity 👌🏾
What is the size of this painting? Great job btw!
Well done, I’ve just started an Abstract at 4.4 meters long and 1 meter wide and was really interested in how you did this ❤️🏴
Boring.
get a frame
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Ok…so I'm curious why did you use Woodville instead of spackle? Did you use anything on the canvas to get it to stick? I'm having issues with it cracking and coming off in whole pieces
this colour of large canvas (white/cream) would stand out better on a coloured wall since the two colours are too similar. Sorry if my comment didn't make sense. Great texture technique 👍🏼
I think this coloured large canvas would stand out so much better on a coloured wall, with the opposite; a large coloured canvas on a white/nude wall. For me it's too muted.
Love this so much ❤️ going to try and do one myself for my living room.
That’s beautiful!
This is what I'm trying to do currently
Art has no rules. Create and keep creating. It looks fantastic. Keep making more! Art school mostly taught me to have tough skin (thank you critiques).
Suggestion after trying this out: before you take to a big canvas, test on some small ones. Michael’s sells a 5 pack of 16×20 for $13. Experiment with textures, colors, etc.
I’d also recommend spending more time on the texturing rather than just slapping on the spackle. Use various sizes of putty knives and paint knives to play around with. Use the kind of spackle that goes on pink. It is way easier to see what you’re doing and dries white of course. There’s also so many different shades of colors so spend some time mixing and experimenting before going big on your canvas. Personally I went black for a more masculine look and it looks sick. Definitely get a frame for it as it just makes it look so much better.
Overall take your time. Yes this is a relatively easy project but if you want to come up with a unique piece of art you’ll appreciate and not just some DIY thing you did, make sure to experiment and produce the best result you can!
Unable to really see textures!
0:48 That's what she said
😍
You could more easily apply the drywall mud with a paint roller. It would make interesting texture, too.
it seems incomplete
Love it!!! I’m going to try it maybe on 3 panels instead of 1 large one. Did you prep the canvas at all before the spakle? Or directly applied on the canvas?
