As a programmer, I follow the progress of A.I closely. Of the approaches taken to date, I personally favour Numenta efforts in regard to general A.I. This doesn't discount the huge advances made on this subject by the other organisations mentioned in the video. The Numenta method of reverse engineering the neocortex of mammals and in particular the human neocortex and then reproducing it initially in software and possibly hardware at a later date makes obvious sense.
