Meditation to Calm an Overactive Mind / Reduce Anxiety and Worry / Mindful Movement

The Mindful Movement

The idea of being in the present moment is a powerful one when it comes to anxiety, depression and calming an overactive mind. Depression can arise when thinking about and living in the past. Anxiety can show up when thinking about and living in the future. Whether your thoughts are in the past or the future, an overthinking mind can bring turmoil to your world and experience.

Today, release these feelings, calm the overactive mind and experience peace in this present moment. This mindfulness meditation can be used to focus on the present moment and let go of worries about the past and anxieties about the future.

For a powerful experience to help calm the overactive, overthinking mind, this meditation can be paired with this sleep practice to help you calm your mind before bed: https://youtu.be/jcprGTfC4vc

  1. Thank you for this video it is such an amazing guided meditation! Never done one like it honestly blown away so relaxing and raises your vibration 🀍

  2. I love you guys ❀️, I have only done this one and the one about suppressed feeling but I already know that you are the best meditation guiders ever!!!

  3. Sara, I listen to this powerful meditation every single day. It helps me so much with my busy mind and insomnia. I love your soft voice. Thank you!

  4. Thank you for giving me a clue on how to end my never-ending pain. I’ve suffered from stress, anxiety and depression for many years. It has in turn given me several other illnesses and somatic symtoms. Thanks to stress, four years ago I started having intense chronic pain focused around my sternum. Since then I’ve had a couple hours in total of no pain at all, seemingly random.

I’ve been looking for a way to get rid of the pain, and nothing works. I mean nothing. But as I listened to this, the pain subsided and was completely gone for a few minutes. I almost cried. Best guided meditation that I’ve found so far! Even a short break from the pain means the world to me. I’m going to try this again. Maybe it will cure me completely one day.

  5. Just finished this and have to say I feel very relaxed, will definitely be doing again and looking at others you have, thank you πŸ’–

  6. I wish I could meditate. I find it insanely hard to keep focused on the words, and near impossible to follow the instructions. So I just listen and try to keep listening. My thoughts always race, trying to relax or breathe any special way makes my anxiety worse. I really wish I could learn how to benefit from this. I have ADHD AMD severe anxiety that i dont take meds for .

  7. Hi Sara, I wanted to thank so much for your kindness and beautiful and peaceful words. I'm from Argentina and every time I listen to you I feel like you are very close to me at that moment. I share your videos with my friends and they are delightful with your words. I also wanted to tell you that you help me a lot and I really appreciate your concern to help people.

  8. Thank you for this lovely meditation. I did have to laugh at one point, though, when you said "feel your body getting heavy" and at that exact moment, one of my cats jumped on my lap.

  9. I have a dilemma with this maybe you can clear up. When you say things along the lines of "allow yourself to feel whatever you're feeling in this moment" or "let the truth surface in whatever form it does"… I'm feeling intense anxiety and guilt. I was hoping meditation could help me turn that around. But if I just let it arise as this video suggests, how is it going to change anything just by me saying "I accept that I feel this way"? I want to change how I feel. Please respond when you can

  10. I have been doing this meditation every now n then and it has given me wonderful results. My rushing thoughts calm down and my mind is at peace within few minutes. πŸ‘πŸ‘ The voice giving instructions is also soothing and calming.
