The video is a tutorial on how to turn an image into art using Midjourney version five (Midjourney V5). The instructor shows a picture of a lady and explains how to turn it into art by using the image as a prompt in the generation process. The tutorial demonstrates how to create characters out of pictures and art.
The instructor shows some examples of how good the generated images are compared to the original. The instructor then proceeds to show how to take the first step by grabbing the image and uploading it to Discord, then copying the link.
The next step is standard prompt engineering, and the instructor goes on to describe how to do this by typing in the prompt of what is to be generated, which in this case is “Lady reading a book.” The instructor then copies the link from Discord and adds it to the prompt.
Before hitting enter, the instructor hits the spacebar and then pastes the link. The next step is to add image weight, which determines how much weight the original image will have in the generated art. The instructor wants the art to look as much like the original image as possible, so they add “– iw space 2.0” to the prompt.
After hitting enter, the prompt is processed, and the instructor explains how to check if the settings are on version five. The instructor waits for the processing to finish and shows the four generated images that were created. The instructor then compares the generated images with the original image and shows how good the generated images look.

IMPORTANT! For all of you that had issues with finding Copy Image after right clicking the uploaded image – seems that in version 5.1 this is fixed. I still don't see the Copy Image link, but after opening the image in a new windows, right click and typing on Copy Image Address, it worked!
For some reason I can't get it to work like that, it changes the image too much, small features like eyelids etc, it doesn't look like the person in the image I used initially anymore
Except the lady is not reading a book…
Nice to know about the iw option. I put all my reference images on the prompt first, then follow with descriptors … just the way I learned it. Check out my Space Captains and Ambassadors vids for examples of my work. Midjourney rocks!!
If I have a picture on a white background, e.g. fruits – can I ask this program to paste these fruits into some nice kitchen and make a realistic visualization?
uoploading and referencing image is so much easy now
Can you use multiple reference photos, or can you only use one?
Guys. Can anyone help advise me how to do this on the discord mobile app? Because on my android phone each time i add a file from my photo library it gives me the meassage ' please specify a value' and i cannot generate anything… or it just expects me to add multiple images…? There is no option on the mobile discord server to " right click" or 'copy url" etc lile you get when logged into a PC version. Help!
please don't say prompt engineering, anyway thank you so much <3
Thank you for this short and to the point video that just answers my question. You've got a new sub!
Can I use this technique to put a t-shirt image I have onto an AI model & background? So basically create a lifestyle image using a t-shirt image/design I already have….
Thanks so much for this. Gotta love usable YT vids and to the point. Subscribed!
Good tutorial. The syntax is "image : text : parameters" but you did "text : image : parameters" and it still worked. Must be AI.
no matter how hard i try this, it still fails to replicate my image i provide
is it possible remix an uploaded image ?
What if you don't want to change the image , but you simple want to make it look like a cartoon?
@Curtis Pyke why does it say "invalid link" on mine? is this only good for real or photorealistic photo?
Hi, I don't have the copy link option and tried opening the image in a new google window and copying that address… still didn't work. Does anyone have any ideas?
when i right click on the image nothing happens
My generated picture does NOT look like me! How do I make it look like me. I input exactly what he said but the image is NOT me.
I don't have the bottom 4 options.. how do i get those?
