  1. I hate the ones that have pages already written for a particular purpose, like an Index or a Key. and I don't even really like page numbers bcz I want them done my way. Even if I was going to have those index or key pages in my journal, I want them to go where I want to put them. I usually do a printout of my index and then cut it to size and clip in the book. That way if I'm doing stuff that has me going all over in my journal, I can put the index page on the table in front of me to refer to instead of having to flip back and forth to it.

  2. The minimalism art City Notebooks and Premium Notebooks have 234 pages 120 gsm and both page numbers and an index for a few more dollars. Way higher quality and still half the price of a leuchtrum

  3. The premium notebooks are also low cost, but are taller and wider, have numbered pages, lovely paper with no ghosting, ( I use a fine or extra fine nib fountain pen ), and is the equal to any very expensive journal.

  4. I can highly recommend the Dingbats journals. Never really had an issue with ghosting or feathering, even with my fountain pen, and the only bleed-through I've ever had was from testing sharpies – which go straight through everything – and layering 3+ lines of felt tip. Pages are a little wider than the average A5, so lots of room. They're entirely vegan, too, and some of their profits go to the WWF.

  5. I don't bullet journal, though Im buying the plain paged one for drawing, I'm happy to hear that it takes ball point pen better than other media's because I draw with pens more than anything

  6. Though it has little ghosting, and may bleed through with a variety of different inks. Just put paper under the back of the paper…and who cares about ghosting ya got lots of paper and guess what, it's cheap? by some more.

  7. I've had one of these notebooks in my amazon cart for months. Glad i found this review! I'll keep with my leuchtturn whatever the heck its called notebook.

  8. This was very helpful! I’m currently looking into starting bullet journaling, and am searching the internet for any tips. This was really awesome, and now I feel like I will know what I’m ordering, when I order it. Thanks so much 👍❤️

  9. I would definitely prefer the cheaper one then since both have ghosting. You would think the more expensive, you could tell more of a difference between a cheaper option but they are basically the same. I also don’t like have an index already put in because I think it waste pages since I don’t need an index
