More than a hologram: Star Wars-inspired tech you can buy right now

CNET

The VX1 from Voxon Photonics is a volumetric display inspired by the game of holochess (aka dejarik) aboard the Millennium Falcon, as featured in Star Wars: Episode IV and The Force Awakens. This technology works as a 3D printer for light, creating images that can be viewed in 3D from any angle, without the need for special glasses.

  1. This video reminds me of those videos from the early 80s which show the potential of Early Touch Screen Technology using their prototypes of those times.
In that respect, this hologram technology shall be a norm in the near future.

  2. Hologram technology artificial intelligence and a living computer virus literal sunshine machine tempest hologram hologram gaming GTA 5 hologram gaming the hologram maps I would use the display to play mass effect andromeda on

  3. Idk seems just like my orb clock that I have. It has a thing with little lights on it and it spins around at fast speeds and shows the time, date etc etc. Looks like it's a hologram, was like 5 bucks and was made like a decade ago. This technology looks no different. It has something spinning making the effect. Whats the difference?

  4. With the screen moving up and down like that, the device probably requires occasional maintenance, right? How long would it be until it breaks?
