  1. Not recognising Aron at Melbourne Airport. Dennett may have had mild prosopagnosia like myself. That is not remembering people's faces until you have met them a few times. About 2% of the population have this condition. It can be a bit socially awkward and embarrassing at times.

  2. Well done and thank you for the information, I did not see DD's passing pop up in my circles. I quite agree of the 4 horse man DD and his gentle "believe in belief" had as much traction as Dawkins.

  3. 🍻To the enduring influence of Dr. Daniel Dennett.

The memory of the visible offense he took to the notion that there are things beyond human understanding makes me thank goodness for such a valiant intellectual.

May you find the answers you so diligently pursued in life!

  4. The fact I’m just hearing about Dennett’s death 3 days after from Aron Ra is depressing. The man helped shape my life and way of thinking. It’s gonna take a few days to process this one.

  5. You are so much more than “Just a YouTuber”! You are one of the most intelligent people I and I’m sure countless others have ever heard speak about anything but especially about Evolution or Religion!

  6. You’re knowledge and understanding of Evolution is immense and extremely impressive and you are probably my favorite person or “YouTuber” to listen to talk about Evolution! Even more than the other horseman Richard Dawkins!

  7. True scholars know the new atheists are a.disgrace to philosophy. Nothing like neitzche and camus. Even intellectually integral atheists know that dawkins god delusion is a simplistic unsophisticated book. An appauling embarrassment of a book.

  8. Aron Ra saying he’s “Just a YouTuber” is one of the biggest understatements of someone downplaying or almost belittling or being way to humble about their immense intellect I’ve ever heard anyone say about themselves!

  9. It’s so weird how the biggest idiots are often loudest most arrogant and most loved or respected like Donald Trump for decades but the kindest or most intelligent are often the quietest most humble and least known or loved! It is a crazy cruel fucked up world we live in and I would never worship any piece of shit God…anymore! Even if there was one who created this incredibly stupid fucking planet!

  10. Hitch was awesome and brilliant but he could obviously be kind of an asshole which I’m sure he would admit though the religious have been the biggest idiots and most arrogant assholes since before recorded history so it’s about time someone with such an amazing intellect and who could speak so well and almost a force of nature was often a complete asshole to them!

  11. Will you ever do a video about open individualism? Do you have an opinion of the subject? Personally I wish it to be false because I don't want to live every life/every possible experience type (torture, etc) after death in a sort of naturalistic rebirth sense with no shared memory. That sounds horrible.

  12. Of the Four Horsemen, Dennett holds the honour of being the one the theists would talk about the least. My suspicion is that they didn't have any idea how to address his arguments.

  13. I've read most of his books, and my favorite is "Darwin's Dangerous Idea: Evolution and the Meanings of Life" – such a great book. Just looked through what he's written, and noticed that there's a book there I had somehow missed – his last book, "I've Been Thinking". Going to get that! I didn't know him personally, but from all I've heard, he was a really generous and kind guy, on top of his obvious intelligence.

  14. A nice tribute to one of the greatest minds of our time. I only heard about his passing a week after, and have been re-watching a lot of his stuff.
I can only imagine how great it would be to have that luck from an airport delay. I would think that not having recording it makes it even more special.

  15. I never liked the other 3 so-called "horsemen." Especially Sam, who has proven himself to be a narcissistic lunatic. Dennett always seemed far more personable and introspective.
