In this video I’ll explore some of the techniques employed by Picasso during cubism. Of course Picasso was not the only cubist, but he is most synonymous with the style (alongside Braque of course) . I have chosen the full video so you can watch the development of the painting slowly. I do love those time lapse videos, they’re great, but I think a lot can be learned simply by watching in real time. It’s what I do during my tutorials in my beginning painting class, and it’s also how I learned the most while taking various painting courses in art school.
