  1. Ginger love your impressionistic style you do beautiful painting. Subscribed! I really enjoyed your talk at the end about ignoring the "peanut gallery" and you are so right. I agree with everything your were saying about how painting is a skill that you learn, and you are right on about it being like learning a language. I can't wait to see more from you.

  2. Ginger, you're an amazing artist. I've only recently have developed a passion for art, and after living 45 years on this earth…I've picked up a paint brush and began quite an interesting journey. I truly enjoy watching your videos however I have a question, or maybe comment. Your "beginner" videos…I'm wondering if any of your free tutorials include just general tips on the brush you use depending on what you're painting, the size, maybe a few tips here an there on brush strokes. You're tips on color, and how you layer them are very helpful. Maybe these videos are more for seasoned artists?

  3. I was looking around at other painters and different techniques on YouTube and one lady said not to stay at the beginner level to long.  She was saying how it's important to broaden your horizons and get out of your comfort zone.  So, in your opinion, how long would you recommend a beginner to continue painting at the beginner level. I admit, I'm very new at painting but feel like I'm getting a pretty comfortable grasp on certain things but there are techniques I feel like I could spend close to a lifetime learning and still not really fully "be there".    Just curious to hear your take on this topic.  I love this video by the way.

  4. Thank you, Ginger, for broadening my artistic possibilities. I've become proficient in dry media (pastel, colored pencil, graphite…) so sort of abandoned practicing with oils and acrylics. You've resurrected my desire to paint again and are doing a wonderful job sharing your knowledge and skills.

  5. thanks for your explanation.. i wish you list the name of the colors needed in the information box.. i got confused and couldn't get the same shade of colors like yours

  6. Thank you Ginger, I painted along with you and the result is awesome. My pots were too small so I had too much green at the top, fortunately I did it on canvas paper so I cut it off! Your guidance made me look like a pro!! Now off to the next tutorial, your Lion Portrait v
