CONTEXT:
The situation in which something happens and that helps us to understand it.
Context includes words, objects, situation, place, tone of voice, culture, time, etc.
LINGUISTIC CONTEXT (CO-TEXT):
The set of other words use in the same sentence of phrase. This is also called con-text.
In a sentence “I am going to bank to withdraw some money,” the phrase “withdraw some money” is linguistic context which tells that the person is talking about bank, a financial institution not the bank of the river.
PHYSICAL CONTEXT:
The situation, time or place in which words are used.
For example you saw a building and “”BANK” is written on it, it will surely influence your interpretation and mental representation of that object.
Mostly we understand physical context easily as compare to linguistic context or physical context help us creating a better linguistic context. .
