  1. Came searching for a product photography lens, stayed for the knowledge on lighting and reflections.

It's so nice to actually see, in action, the difference small movements of the light source and reflectors can make. Also, wow, this was made 6 years ago?

  2. Great video, shows the value of flags better than anyone on YouTube. What are those chemical stands called that are like mini C stands complete please?

  3. thank you for the video, it is very good. I would like to buy that paper for diffusion but i don't know where to find and what i have to ask precisely. I will appreciate if you can give me this info. Thank you very much

  4. Thank you so much for this, absolutely brilliant. May I ask why you use halogen lights instead of either strobe or incandescent daylight bulbs (although I do like the WB on this video). Watched a lot of your channel and you certainly take a lot f the mystery out of photography, and as the old adage goes: I bet you've forgotten more than a lot of the so called experts on YouTube know.

  5. Hi +Phillip McCordall – would you mind telling us how you attached the fishing line to the headphones?

BTW I love your videos – they are very content dense – lots of really useful info without much "fluff". Thanks.

  6. thank you very much, loved the video very informative. I am a photographer who is starting to get into product photography and found this very informative. looking forward to viewing your other videos.

  7. Absolutely brilliant tutorial Phillip, i often do a lot of product photography and this is just great insight into your knowledge and experience. So thank you for taking the time to share it!

  8. Thanks Philip! This is the first of your videos I found, and I am impressed. I've been working with products for almost two years and am always trying to improve my results. I learned a lot!

  9. Thank you for making this video Phillip. I'm a designer with a keen interest in product photography so it's really helpful to me. I have a question – to reduce flare in the shot, would a lens hood do the same job as the black card? – or do you use both? Thanks! Dan.
