  1. Democrats, independents, Universities across the nation and any American who wants to keep their country needs to quickly grow a backbone and start fighting back with everything they have. This administration is bound and determined to destroy the American way of life. Stop him!

  2. Why listen to these people who obviously work for these universities? They do not want to lose their gravy train of "money for nothing, get your check's for free"…what have they cured lately?? Genuinely curious? Cancer has nit been eradicated, mistky just postponed by injecting them with drugs that are sometimes worse than the disease, cost a fortune (insurance dening co verage on many), bodies decimated and then it reoccurs later with a vengance in other places because drugs killed off bodies natural defense systems

  3. Harvard, use your own funds. Why be a drain on the taxpayer? Harvard is a very wealthy University, and pharmacy companies should assist in this funding.

  4. Does anyone watch CBS anymore? Legacy media outlets lie, cheat and steal for ratings. They have no concerns about content accuracy nor employing propaganda to dupe their Dozens of views.

  5. Lol…propaganda used to be far more subtle and convincing. Dershowitz is an actual lawyer, far more familiar with Harvard and seems to think the government/Trump has a strong chance of winning the case. Please do better in your reporting.

  6. Well, excuse.
Me, you didn't have a problem with destroying people's lives and careers. And treating them like they were non. Humans whenever the democrats were swatting, people all over the place. But now suddenly it's a tragedy. It's typical democratic focus on and you can boohoo. Till the cows come home either. Stop trying to indoctrinate people or that you have a different way to get your money.

  7. Academic freedom? Are you kidding me?A conservative person gets shouted down Driven out of the school and made into a pariah Because liberals don't want to hear It.Please spare me you're pandering in your boohoo right now

  8. of course, any administration has the rights to stop funding to any higher learning elitist institution that encourages antisemitism, chaos on campuses and any other form of discrimination. For two billion there are other institutions that can perform research without any bias or political agendas. The US gov. simply can take their business elsewhere and not be associated with Harvard's messaging and Harvard won't be associated with our US government. Either way Americans don't believe Harvard is worth the two billion for what they are producing for the US. and for American's research dollars. Harvard stating vague "research" without meaningful accomplishments is very tell tale.

  9. Judging by all the things that have already happened in the US I think scientists at all the Ivy League Universities should start considering leaving for Europe.

  10. Look, if we’re going to talk about where our taxpayer money goes, let’s at least be consistent. People get heated about a few million going to Harvard—yes, a wealthy institution, but they barely blink when we hand over billions in tax breaks and grants to billionaires like Elon Musk or giant corporations that barely pay taxes.

Here’s the thing: Harvard isn’t just a school for rich kids. It’s a research powerhouse that’s produced breakthroughs in medicine, technology, public policy, you name it. The innovations and knowledge that come out of places like Harvard don’t just stay in fancy classrooms. They shape industries, inform national policy, and literally save lives. That’s a return on investment you can measure in real-world impact.

Meanwhile, when we give public money to billionaires, it’s usually under the assumption they’ll innovate or create jobs. And sometimes they do, but often, it’s just corporate welfare. Taxpayer dollars pad their bottom lines while they move profits offshore and squeeze workers. So the question isn’t “Why does Harvard get public money?” It’s “Why are we okay giving way more to the richest people and corporations, with far less oversight or public benefit?”

If you’re mad about where your tax dollars go, cool—be mad. But be mad at the system that favors the ultra-wealthy and calls it “economic development”, not the institutions producing doctors, engineers, scientists, and leaders.

  11. Since WW2, university funded research has been responsible for 50% of GDP. The return is immense. Virtually the entire high-tech gig economy came about as a result of taxpayer investments in R&D. It's the height of simplicity to scream about Harvard's $50 billion endowment. The biggest welfare queen in America is Elon Musk

  12. Billions in taxpayer funding apparently for research … But who keeps the IP rights . Not the taxpayers … The level of perceived liberal entitlement to taxpayer money is astounding .

  13. This is another example of Trump's inept handling of the economy. He's causing more and more scientific talent to flee the US.
