First, I know this video is not easy to understand. Thank you for taking the time to attempt to understand it. I’ve been working on this for over six months over which time my understanding has improved. Quantum entanglement and spooky action at a distance are still debated by professors of quantum physics (I know because I discussed this topic with two of them).
Does hidden information (called hidden variables by physicists) exist? If it does, the experiment violating Bell inequalities indicates that hidden variables must update faster than light – they would be considered ‘non-local’. On the other hand if you don’t consider the spins before you make the measurement then you could simply say hidden variables don’t exist and whenever you measure spins in the same direction you always get opposite results, which makes sense since angular momentum must be conserved in the universe.
Everyone agrees that quantum entanglement does not allow information to be transmitted faster that light. There is no action either detector operator could take to signal the other one – regardless of the choice of measurement direction, the measured spins are random with 50/50 probability of up/down.

Question:
1. in the video it is said that prior the entanglement, the particle must come from an energy collision. Is that correct? If so, how the test make the collision from 2 different place? Does it also mean in normal situations there is no entanglement between the whole particle in the universe?
2. The physicists agree that we can’t send information with this entanglement method. Does it mean we can’t use it for let say teleportation?

Does this technically mean that we can get 2^x pairs of entangled particles, put one set on earth, and the rest on say an exoplanet, and send messages instantly?

@Veritasium One idea, can you not, provided you know when for example a space probe arrives at a plant to check whether it is habitable, make an agreement that no signal is 0 and signal either up or down is 1? You could fix a rate at which these things are send or not send and from this interpret what the other is saying.
What are the chances that the original measurement of spin was taken by a detector at exactly the correct orientation?
Maybe the spin of subatomic particles is not a spin as we know it and therefore doesn't conform to a 360° detector orientation.
A spin could be like a ripple around a sphere or like a rotating irregular shaped mass.
"since the spin of the particle is more aligned with the measurement" I don't understand this part. Previous to this it the body was either head to toe, or toe to head, but on this section it was always head to toe (but I assumed that this is not always the case)

hi bro, i like your information for starters, i have a tester for research, and yours is proven, congrats! Quantum Entanglements is right about, object A 2 B, not communicating faster than the speed of light, and also not having the control of their spin direction. but like Schrodinger"s theory, Object A represents the real dead cat state, which quantum entanglement has proven, because object A is not aware of his choice, he can not link and guard his choice to Object B, therefore the spin is indecisive. but if the Object A is aware of his choice, then Object A becomes Schrodinger"s real Live Cat, it can literally communicate to Object B faster than, the speed of light and also have total dominance over which direction of the spin. The reality Object A projects, when its not aware of choice is called the illusion of life! It neither here nor there, just like Schrodinger"s cat, when the observer tries to observe, its sees, neither a live cat or a dead cat., this accounts for the ratings on the hidden information=55.6% and entangled quantum particles=50.0% based on this video. But Object A, being Aware of choice, sends 100% hidden information to Object B and is not Entangled.

What if the spin measurement instruments are mutually perpendicular instead of 60
when i just saw this it made me think about how humans quantum fields are effected by each other for example relationships /love and how when your in love with someone it changes you and i wish there was information about this somewhere to learn more about but i dont think there has been any studies into the quantuum entanglement of people in fact i dont even think there is studies into the fact that human brains work on a somewhat quantum level thats scaled up

Yeah so I guess I was supposed to know what angular momentum is to start with. SMH
If the relative offset between the two observers is random (yet they each have 3 possible measurements rotated by 120 deg), then the average of Einstein's hidden variable nets to 50% instead of 55.6% (assuming to test each offset case and average all the offsets together). For the case of 0 offset, the probability of being opposite is 5/9 as you state. If the offset is 60 deg, then the probability is instead 4/9.
What if you instead communicated with morse code and didn't care about the spin but only about if you got any measurements.
This did not make a single bit of sense

I'm still with einstein here. With world lines and superdistant A and B points to a quantum entanglement measuring device, you could literally reductio ad absurdium bohr by making grandfather paradoxes
But what if we just set only 1 detector at both places {at receiver and transmitter}, then there is no 50% chance of getting wrong information there is a 100% chance of getting information right.
I still don't understand this experiment, what if both particles alternate the spin at the same time? If they are measured at the same time, the spin will always be the opposite.
