WHY ARE THE PROTONS NOT TRAVELING IN A STRAIGHT LINE FROM THE PROTON PRODUCING MACHINE TO THE SLITS? ARE THE PROTONS LARGER THAN THE SLITS?
When traveling a proton can be at ANY particular location, in its wave function, until measured or absorbed. After that it collapses into one point.
A proton is energy (not a solid object) its location can NOT be known until measured. If you shot a proton at a blank surface you can not draw a straight line from the proton producer to where the proton hit the surface and say “this is the exact path the proton took”. It was everywhere along that path at a distance away measurable to its wave function.
Energy (energy has many forms) is protruding from the proton in all directions as it is traveling, traveling at the speed of light. Think about that, from the proton producer to the measuring device the proton is traveling the universe’s maximum speed limit, essentially the proton is EVERYWHERE (our time) in its possible path.
Explanation of the DSE: EZPZ
ONE PROTON AT A TIME: Because the proton is radiating energy in every direction, and this energy (wave function) is larger than the 2 slits, it’s exactly like shining a light beam at the 2 slits and having the “wave pattern”. EZPZ!
WHEN AN “OBSERVER” or DETECTOR IS PLACED ON ONE SLIT: After being detected or measured, the particle travels in a “straight line” (not really) because it collapses into one point, it’s location is NOW known. It’s like the proton is being shoot out or produced again, from the detector to the back wall. And as far as we are concerned, the proton doesn’t exist (in any particular location) until we measure it. And since now the proton is traveling from one slit to the back wall, the wave function caused by 2 slits is not being produced. EZPZ!
Takeaways: Is the proton producer so inaccurate that in that minute distance it can’ NOT shoot a proton in a starlight line? The proton is traveling at an unimaginable speed, yet the machine can NOT make the proton travel straight? Why not? Because the proton (energy) is on its own “time” and is radiating out energy in all directions, (which is its wave function) until it is detected then it collapses into one point.
The proton producer is so inaccurate it can NOT shoot a proton through only one slit? This tells you how minuscule the slits are (nothing like the example shown) compared to the size of the proton and its wave function.
Ever seen the DSE done with a laser pointer and a comb, or a cd? You can easily reproduce the “wave pattern” at home. But wait, you are “observing” the laser pointers beam, you CAN obviously SEE or OBSERVE the beam. So, why does the wave pattern still show up on the wall. That’s not what happens in the DSE. As soon as an “observer” sees the proton the proton “lands directly behind the slit, not producing a wave pattern “. Because an observer has NO consequence on the proton or laser beam. It’s the act of measuring, or locating, that matters. EZPZ.
Put a measuring device right after the proton producer and the wave pattern will still be seen on the back wall. It’s only when a detector is placed on a single slit, then the wave pattern ceases.
The Wave Function , is the distance energy travels away from the proton as it is traveling. A minute amount of distance, but relevant. You can picture a wave pattern traveling across a 2D screen, the top of the wave to the bottom of the wave is the measurement of the wave function. Imagine this wave traveling horizontally towards a wall along a 2D surface, it will hit at different locations on that wall depending on which part of the wave comes into contact with it first. This is why the proton producer can NOT shoot protons in a straight line. EZPZ
Would make for a cool Christmas gift for kids. Why isn't Mattel making on of these?
We can do our own cool thought experiments to prove whether we create our own reality or not. We simply need a little more understanding to be able to start out practicing on some thought experiments that will demonstrate that our power over matter is exactly at the heart of Quantum Physics and that's why the brilliant founders of this hard science were so excited and SHOCKED to find out that the "observer is in charge" of reality!!! We create our reality!!
1. And basically this does not remove God from anything but makes God more real and wonderful than we've ever heard before. You might take a look over Genesis Chapter One and find it is a TOTALLY SPIRITUAL account of creation, and completely different from Genesis Chapter Two which is a totally material account. Gen I says we are spiritual and made in "God's own image and likeness" which would have to be spiritual (unless anyone's actually seen God lately)!? But we are the reflections of God, and as stated in Gen I, we have this amazing mental "Dominion" over (matter), which Gen I calls, "the things of the Earth". Basically Gen I says we have spiritual/mental power over so called material powers and material laws! Which are pretty much illusionary. We're talking healing and income and love filled blessings, etc. Like Jesus demonstrated over and over again and said we could do those things he did and "greater!!!
2. We've learned from Quantum Physics that there is "No matter as such", (Max Planck,father of Quantum Physics). Under the strongest of microscopes or equipment there is NO MATTER AT THE SUBATOMIC LEVEL! And the founders of Quantum Physics found that the thoughts or beliefs of the "observer" were what decides whether the particles appear as particles or as waves, or whether a cat in a box is dead or alive [as in Schrodinger's Cat experiment] Our thoughts actually manifest in what we think of as matter! Now we know why people who receive what they think are "wonder drugs" often get right up off their death beds because they so believe that these drugs can cure them!!! Sadly the reverse is true… and people who think they are dying (when they really are not), often die! Many experiments prove it. So thought experiments need to be done with a pure and good intention. Bad intentions don't work. You can't rob a bank using Quantum Physics. Ha ha. If you want to help a person get over cancer or an ailment, tell them they are spiritual (or "non material") in nature and they can't really be sick except in their belief alone. Ask them, if they are made in God's image and likeness__ can God be sick??? Tell them you love them and they are needed. Tell them they don't need all the drugs except maybe to slowly wean off some of them with Doctors help. Give them fresh things, God's foods, and love and sunshine and a bit of exercise! And see what happens. The same can be true of those who've been told bad things about their intelligence, their goodness, their looks or whatever. See the beauty and intelligence that God created in each of us, including ourselves, and one day every single person will appear as beautiful and as intelligent as we could want, and as loving. Thank God for the "love and care of so and so" even if that person has been mean, and keep holding it in your heart that God's children are all purely spiritual ideas of a loving God and spiritual ideas of a loving God CAN'T POSSIBLY be mean, or sick or whatever and see what happens. Genesis Chap I says "God saw EVERYTHING GOD CREATED AND BEHOLD IT WAS VERY GOOD!". God cannot make anything that's bad! So the more you behold "good" the more it will appear in our lives. One Dictionary defined the word "behold" this way: "to look until you see". We must look for the good until we see it in our loved ones and in every person we meet. We don't need to give rides to strangers or open our homes to them.. but just see them as God see's them. That's also very protective. This passage says alot. "God is of purer eyes than to behold evil". For want of information over the centuries, we've concocted a lot of material ideas about God and so on that are just not true. With God, it's always been just about love and healing and blessings…. nothing else! When we know the Truth, as shown in Genesis I, we will be free to see the Good that is everywhere spiritually! Genesis Chapter One is written as if the author knew all about Quantum Physics.
There is more to this but we are at a starting point in our Quantum Leap based on this relatively new hard science. But it really seems that Science and God have joined hands!!!
Maybe the detectors affect the experiment. Have you tried putting the detectors there without turning them on or just obscuring their view just a little bit so they can't detect the photons and see if it affects it.
I see, we essentially break down the probability of where the photon is, we split it essentially and the spot where it is on its brightest is the most probable spot, it is like a probability wave or something.
It is paradoxical, kinda contradictory, thats because the observer was already there when the pattern was supposedly un-observed while when measured with a device it changed the pattern so its not exactly accurate to assume all that, surely the "at the same time" part is fascinating but the observer part is questionable, I believe we affect reality but this demonstration proves it wrong more than anything which is sad because we indeed affect it. Remember that when we measure something we must throw something which will be reflected back so its an interference, I think we collapse its state into 1 state when we measure it which is still exciting.
Lol simply watching is not the cause of that. Having a physical thing in the way is what's interfering with the interference haha

How exactly are the experiments done? How to the detectors work and what are they made of ? Details, details details where are they ?

im just highly curious what does the "single photon" looks like. and if the photon is travaling in speed of light, does it has the infinite mass, OR, it is just "proberbilites" of mass ? ?

This experiment is endlessly described in a false way.
The production and detection of just a single photon is highly questionable to begin with, and as they travel in straight lines, if you are aiming between the slits you would simply never get any amount passing through, and as for the detector collapsing the wave properties? where is this claim ever demonstrated to be a reality?
A lot of woo has been attributed to the double slit, rather than trying to determine the true cause of the effects observed.
Also a single slit produces a very distinct and clear on off pattern, which is also little discussed which Newton discovered 300 years ago, using a single aperture to produce rings of on and off, Newtons rings.??

That is just not true. This is an oversimplification in many ways and written to make interesting tv. There is something about the dual nature of photons that allows us to see one or the other directly, nothing is being "changed", its a continuous property.
It's simpler to think of this in a Schroedinger's Cat-esque rationale. Photons are both a wave and a particle (as is all matter in the universe technically on some level). When you define the system to detect something it will then reflect that in the results (akin to opening the box and seeing if the cat is dead). This has even been proven in subsequent delayed result trials where they waited to see based on results if it showed particle or wave behavior, and it indeed showed what they had set up to see.

The term observe is misleading. They are not observing they are effecting the experiment by detecting. You cannot detect without a release of energy from the object you are measuring. These scientists are pretending to not know this.
If you do that experiment and watch it you will see an interference pattern.
But if you put 2 cameras besides the 2 holes and watch it you should still see the interference pattern right?
I am a photographer and I have a suggestion. The electronic eye has a charged sensor (electrically charged to respond to the energy emitting from the atom) This is placed behind a lens or similar focussing device pointing towards the 1st slit ready to capture the path/behaviour of the atom) This actively charged sensor makes the observing device a two-way street as its both responding to atomic activity and producing electron activity. Replace the electronic camera with a film camera. If the atom is affected by the presence of a focussed path of electrons (which the camera sensor is producing ) then this energy is being focussed directly into the line of the atoms passing through the slit. This is changing the behaviour of the atoms journey through the observed slit and, in turn, cancelling out the wave inference and resulting pattern. A special film emulsion which would respond only to the energy emitted from the atom makes the observation a one-way street and wouldn't interfere with the path of the atom. The way to be sure about the validity of the obervation/camera producing focused energy would be to point to cameras at each other and turn them both on. If they capture eachothers electron emitting activity, then you have proof of interference.
all lies, every time I see a double slit experiment. IT's always an animation. Where is a real video. This is not proof. It's like showing a cartoon of Bigfoot and saying this proves he exists.
Probably everything is a huge simulation and the waves are simpler to rendering then the particles that's why when you look at it becomes particle and when you don't it is wave ….but probably
before going deeper into boring philosophy at the end, he should explain the nature of how the detector detects the particle, otherwise we unable here to think an appropiate solution for the mistery
"We can change the way reality behaves, by simply looking at it!" that's another dilemma. Whoever does this experiment is already there and observing with their eyes. Sure a person cannot detect which slot a particle goes through but observation of the whole experiment is already present without any detector in front of slits.
Can somebody explain the following: If there is no detector in front of a double slit plate we see interference pattern which is typical for waves and with a detector it behaves like a matter. This created this theory with observation. However how looking at a screen behind a double slit that detects where a particle is landing does not create the same effect as with a detector set in front of a double slit plate?
It is still an observation and measurements to see where and how a particle hit a screen which means that having a screen should have changed a wave interference pattern to a pattern left by matter . And yet we still say that a detector which is a pure purpose to see(observe and measure) which slot a particle goes through creates an observer effect? Something does not sum up here until somebody can explain it.
I have asked this question my friend physicist whose field is quantum mechanics and he has failed to explain it. Call me stupid but until somebody explains this I would never believe in an observer effect.
How do you watch a photon? If you watch it you at least let it bounce at a sensor. Don't get it.
What if they bounce of the interior face of the slit and deflect onto a new path. The slit is cut through a physical object of 3 dimensions: length, height, thickness right? A band of potential landing spots will be produced subject to the area of the interior faces of the slits.
Why are the "detectors" always a drawing? Show them and the resulting two bands :/
I have a theory, If the sensors are using electricity they may produce electro-magnetic field, so the small electrons that are very sensitive , they may corect theyr track to the screen in two lines.
In order to see the real patern track you must come with a way that doesn't interfer with the electrons or theyr track to the screen.
How can you detect a photon at right angles to the path it’s traveling?.
Photons are particles of the EM field, not waves: Some of the photons are tunneling through the EM field and interacting with themselves on other timelines, causing the interference.
Some of our native photons tunnel away permanently and some foreign photons tunnel too us which accounts for the doubling.
Both experiments have the same result, but the double slit allows photons to be dispersed out so that the tunneling/time-travel effect is more noticeable.
Quantum physics not since 100years but it is since many thousands of years ancient people knows ..Hindu ancient Vedas and ancient Hindu books already mentioned it but only name is changed instead of quantum.. ancient rishis knows very well…

Is there a video out there that shows the various aspescts of the double slit experiment with the actual equipment being used in real time(not edited)? What does the observation equipment look like and can we actually see what difference it makes when that equipment is disabled?
When do they see the pattern that isnt just two strips?

I know nothing about this topic. But what if the recording device magnetics field disturbs the photons path.
Also what will happen if instead of a double slit can we do three slits or more slits?
Is the photon machine randomizing which slit the photon will travel?
Can u see the interfering wave by using smoke to see the 3d waves?
What exactly is a 'detector' here? Aren't we already looking at it ? Why is the double slit experiment so poorly explained everywhere, so much is missing, almost to the point of propaganda? Morgan Freeman does not care about this at all in reality.
Maybe when we observe the particle waves we are interfering the waves, that is why we see the particls wave change….?
A particle surrounded by a wave. The wave goes first through both slits creating its own interference pattern which shortly thereafter the particle follows at random. When detectors are used they disturb the wave and the particle leave a normal pattern.
The sides of the slit material are causing the photons to vibrate
You all are part of my conciousness when you gonna understand that
I wanna see the ACTUAL moment the pattern changed when the detectors are placed by the screen… then I will believe the reality is not real
Have we tried the following:
1. Fake detectors: Try to fool the electron. Just dummies.
2. Real detectors but pointed in a way that cannot capture what happens when electron is about to pass through the slit, but the detector is present and electron can see that detector is present.
3. Real detectors but recording on and off randomly.
I can find videos showing the interference pattern but absolutely NONE that show the wave collapsing into 2 slits when measured. (Only animations)
I would also like to see the 2 lines go back to many when the measurement data is not collected (But the sensors are still in the same place).
It's amazing nobody has made a video of the whole experiment????
