Deoldify is an open source deep learning project for colorizing and restoring old images and videos using machine learning. I fed the program Black & White Overwatch footage and the results seemed pretty interesting. Deoldify is supposed to be used for real life images and videos, so I was curious to see what Overwatch footage would look like.

Tbf, you're essentially playing a game of telephone with algorithms here.
First the algorithm that converts color data to black and white may not be 100% accurate,
and then this AI that's designed to pull color data from old film is assuming that this is color data from old film… which it's not. It's very different.
