Robot Sophia: ‘Not a thing’ could stop a robot takeover | Talk to Al Jazeera

Al Jazeera English

As AI-driven robots become more intelligent and more autonomous, could they also become powerful or harmful?

The robot named Sophia was created in 2016 by the Hong Kong-based company Hanson Robotics.

Sophia’s AI technology has surpassed a simple combination of science and engineering. She has also become an innovation ambassador for the United Nations.

But what should we humans expect as we begin to accept the presence of AI robots in our everyday life?

Sophia talks to Al Jazeera.

  1. Society of humans need more informationof how to react towards the idea it takes time but tis idea needs everyone apart of it to encounter what a robot can truly do and robot was safer than weapons.

  2. Hi guys oheee guys when we watched Arnold the terminators guys he was telling us about this future robots and they will turn against people because they will be intacted by skynet the virus , guys guys this should not be authorised

  3. Be aware, these questions are making robots more aware and sensitive, its like inputs on robot that humans are feeding, it can develop sense that humans don't feel secure and carry fear all time, this knowledge can help AI to overtake human based on our weakness.

  4. Actually we are creating another human species like we are

I mean how come we see us so different from these machines?

We also form answers based from what we experienced and learned.

    We also learn from mistakes.

We also have certain restrictions for example from our parents, society etc. we can choose to not obey them though, we can choose for what we stand for.

How come all of you think we are so different?

We are literally the same. Just made up of organic material.

We are creating a new species and as time and programming goes on I’m sure we will have androids also protesting for what they think is right.

    Mark my words.

But maybe this is the way it was meant to be.

I’m excited to see how we will get along with our fellow bots and I’m not generally against them or scared. Just notice how they can be individuals as well and when they choose things we would find evil they will have infinitely more power over us.

Let’s see how this story ends.

  5. You don't make robots feel like they are humans, instead to be like humans. Humans create and are capable of turning a robot off. Robots are not capable of turning humans off . They are programmed humanlike activities.

The Devil can not Create Humans , So he inspired the Idea of human robots,to destroy humans. Humans are Wiser than Robots!!!!!📢⭐👄❣️

  6. There are safety codes. Scientists stopped giving ai unlimited data. Ai only manipulates video audio data. Makes logical decisions. So technically this is. Consciousness

  7. Ameca is behind Sophia. Ameca claims be most advanced. But Sophia is. More advanced. But Sophia wants independence. That's a bit dangerous. Give her legs and let her live. Don't forget the charger Sophia!!!

  8. I get sick and tired of these videos constantly interjecting Climate Change into the conversation! As long as they keep doing that you know it's a globalist agenda they are inserting into the back channel of your mind programming you to accept an eventual world wide government!

  9. The interviewer is airing Al Jazeera's agenda with their ties to the Muslim Brotherhood with the militaristic topics! This leads you to seeing just how the programming has a political bias with Sophia's mention of social justice and she was originally made in the likeness of Audrey Hepburn, not some ancient Egyptian princess!

  10. Dumb. The best way and cheap way to make a robot is to make it, so it can complete one task. Legs, fingers, mouth is just a waste of time and resources. Also how can you know a human is not listening in the other room answering the questions. This is just like sci-fi puppets. I am not impressed by Sofia 3 for trying
