SAGE was developed by SoarTech ( http://www.soartech.com/ ) as part of the MAGIC international robot competition ( http://www.dsto.defence.gov.au/MAGIC2010/ ). SAGE monitors the environment (sensed by the robots) as well as the goals and actions of the robot team itself. It automatically configures the display to best support the operators in their most important tasks such as identifying and neutralizing dangerous objects. This includes highlighting events of interest to the operator, and providing at-a-glance information about the entire team. SoarTech, as part of Team Michigan ( http://april.eecs.umich.edu/magic/ ), finished in first place at the inaugural MAGIC event.
