Dunsdon Illustrates
In this video I recreate a set of icons from the science fiction horror movie Alien. these signs were created by the incredibly gifted artist and concept designer Ron Cobb.
Ron Cobb sadly passed away in 2020, but his artistic legacy lives on in such films as Alien, Star Wars and Raiders of the Lost Arc. His concept art and illustrations are iconic, and I consider it a rite of passage as a graphic designer and illustrator to recreate this most excellent set of icons.
This was an amazing project and I’ve learned a great deal from examining Ron Cobb’s original artwork. I’d encourage you to seek out his work and enjoy it.
