i was on a job once where these polish guys had a divice that climbs stairs they where using it for carring washing machines up steps

Yeah like I'm going to die of old age before I get up those stairs.
Excellent idea and needs to work faster. perhaps a manual way to get the stair climber down and the other wheels up. Also if the wheel chair was skinner it would most likely fit into a lot narrow of places.

This design has US Paten back in 1974. I tried it back then. Transmission made here in town Billerica, MA.
