  1. I work for a parcel company, boxes need to be picked up from underneath and on both sides. The boxes can often weigh up to and even over 30kgs, picking those boxes up from one front or rear side panel will cause all the weight to rip through the box.

  2. The main reason people are usually against automation is people losing jobs. I liked this video because it proves that automation can actually add jobs, as now people have more time to do other jobs around the facility.

  3. Everyone that did that job, is now unemployed. Even the foreman. Now's there's just a couple robotics nerds running the whole offloading.
This is just so much paid propaganda it isn't even funny. Impressive technology, but the paid actors here are in no way convincing.

  4. AKA we want to hire less people, keep or raise costs of our services, and triple our profits. Then wonder why our economy is crashing but hey, why should we care we're rich and we'll be dead in 40 years.

    thus history repeats itself

  5. Lots of the people praising this are the same people who will lose their jobs because of advancements like this. If I am an employer I see an opportunity to reduce staffing with a workforce that doesn't sleep, take breaks, complain, get injured, call in sick, gets holidays, sick leave or paid time off, requires no training, raises or promotions, and does exactly their job and never gets caught slacking off looking at TikTok. Be careful what you wish for. Educate yourself in repairing these things or else your employment status is doomed.

  6. dude this was my full time job when i was 16 . this is remarkable. complementing a machine who would replace me lol. geez

  7. Stretch unloading boxes of parts to build new robots until eventually we bow down to our robot overlords!

    Jk

It’s told to empty the container. Some internal dimensions of the container are provided. That’s all.

Then stretch just emptied the container. Awesome.

  8. Great for handling boxes, but what about oddly shaped items?
I once had a job unloading pigs that had been slaughtered at an abbatoir and cut in half lengthwise. Heavy, slippery and very unwieldy. It ruined my back and I wouldn't want to wish that job on anyone.

  9. Translation:
"Our executives are tired of paying for human employees and giving them benefits, and we don't like being sued for abusing them all the time."

  10. One day they will run the whole factory autonomously, and there will be an emergency Supervisor nearby just in case.

Will humans have more time to socialize, aspire to greater things or run out of work and be in debt?

  11. Boston dynamic could you guys please make a real life fully functional r2d2 that actually can do tasks and jobs around warehouses like Amazon and more pretty please 🥺🥺🥺🥺

  12. Companies always complain about the work force and not getting employees post covid
Yet they do nothing to provide competitive wages or decent benefits 🤔 the solution is to get some sort of robot to justify been a amazon wannabe in exploiting their workforce for little to nothing and keep replacing them because there not humans trying earn a honest living their just a number on a computer..

You don't hear unión companies that provide a decent living have lackluster workforce or high turn over rate…

  13. “Post-COVID you’re not getting as many people as you would through the door.” >90% of staffing shortages in the last 2 years have been caused by poor working conditions and inadequate compensation/benefits. What’s DHL like in that regard?
