  1. Instead of four workers unloading four trucks, soon it will be one worker monitoring four robots unloading four trucks. The rest? Unemployed.

  3. It's efficient, but it's way cooler if you get a ton of the dogbots to work the shop. Making dogbot pyramids to reach those boxes.. Epitome of wasted resources but entertaining as hell.

  4. Yeah guys will not be "excited to work with robots instead of doing the physical work", instead those labourers will be fired and need to find an equivalent job, and the company hires a guy who actually knows how to set up and manage several of the robots at the same time.

  5. I envisage those of arms inside the container that link up via a frequency signal ,with those inside the delivery bay area, that network with each other,, pretty cool 👽 little network it will be 🦎🇦🇺🛸🦎🛸

  6. Looks to me like it would take the robot 6 or more hours to unload that whole truck vs a crew of 6 people like we do at my workplace, (two inside placing boxes on the belt, 2 outside on each side of the belt placing boxes on carts or pallets), about an hour and a half maybe 2 hours at most.

  7. It’s way too slow and not every box comes in perfect shape. Many are actually quite busted. Also what is the machine’s useful lifespan? Could the company using this ever see a return on investment? It’s not like humans get paid much to do this.

  8. Those are the most unrealistic conditions I’ve ever seen when unloading a trailer. First of all… no warehouse in the world deals with homogeneous size boxes. Then, broken, wet or heavy boxes wouldn’t be picked up by a vacuum. What happens if the labels are placed facing the opposite way, how would the robot read it? Pallets never go on a trailer if isn’t not on top of a pallet. There is also the need of an operator to use the robot. This is a cool robot and what not, but is not meant for the real world. Safe to say, unloaders have their jobs secured. And it would take minutes to unload a palletized load as opposed to hours with a robot like this.

  9. I work at a warehouse and it is not that simple. Picking up heavy boxes, glass, unusual sized boxes, there's no way that silly robot can do that.

  10. tell me more about those vacuum grippers, can they be used to clean a house? is it smart enough to not suck up a favorite t-shirt if i leave one on the floor by accident? also how much are one of these Stretch robots? thanks!
