Styles of American Architecture

America is blessed with a breadth of architectural styles, from early Colonia-era regional styles to modern, sustainable styles that draw influence from myriad sources. Featuring more than three dozen architectural styles through 130+ images, this short video also showcases a number of unique buildings types. The content is drawn from Scott D. Butcher’s book, “Historic Architecture of Pennsylvania,” which looks at American architecture through the eyes of six south central Pennsylvania communities with almost 300 years of buildings and structures.

Now known as the H.H. Richardson Complex.
