Respect from Tunisia 🇦🇲🤝🇹🇳
Գրագետ մարդու համար բնավ դժվար չէ հավասարապես լավ տիրապետել արևմտայան և արևելյան բարբառները….
Indian squatters 😀😀😀
Cool
Սովորաբար Արմենիան հեշտ լեզու չէ, իմ ընկերուհին սովորում է այս երկիրը, քանի որ նա ուզում է ինձ տեսնել իրական կյանքում, քանի որ ես Հայաստանից եմ
I really like your explanation you're very good your videos very good
Grammatically this has a few similarities to japanese which really surprised me
Viva Armenia 🇦🇲

Great video and as a Syriac or Christian North Eastern Neo- Aramaic (NENA) speaker need clarification. In the section of borrowed words, Semitic is mentioned and more specifically: Syriac and Assyrian.
By Assyrian, is the reference to the Akkadian language spoken during the Assyrian Empire or the modern Neo- Aramaic dialects? Thank you.
Armenian is a distinct language with its own unique grammar, vocabulary, and syntax. However, it is related to other languages in the Indo-European language family. The closest living relative of the Armenian language is the language spoken by the people of the Republic of Azerbaijan, called Azerbaijani or Azeri, which is also a member of the Turkic language family. Some scholars also posit a possible link between Armenian and the extinct Phrygian language spoken in ancient Anatolia (modern-day Turkey).
You made me forget my language by going into such depth😅
Thank you Paul that was impressive and Armenian is definitely very different from other Indo/European languages but the Basics are there I speak 5 languages Armenian Arabic French English and Turkish I was born in Lebanon and then moved to USA when I was 19 years old I do understand both eatern and wastern Armenian and my favorite part is every Armenian understands the Armenian prayer at the church which is even older than today's spoken Armenian to me its the most beautiful and unique Armenian I have learned it has special place in my heart God Bless all the Armenians we are like a big family❤
Sounds like modern hebrew.
Fascinating video. It's amazing that Georgiam and Armenian have existed side by side for 3,000 years or more yet are so different. Other than a few loan words in each other's languages, Georgian (Kartuli) functions entirely differently.
Do a video on Ossetian for another example of a Caucasianized Indo-European/Aryan language.
Much respect and deep love to our best neighbour Armenia, love you from Iran
Classical Armenian has not been influenced by Turkic; rather, it is the other way around. The Turkish language incorporates hundreds of Armenian loanwords dating back to the late Middle Ages. Turkic words are often colloquialisms, primarily used by individuals with less formal education.
Yes em sirum I’m yerekhain nothing anyway sed
While the alphabet looks very annoying to write with, I'll have to give them props for its very good ponctuation, especially the abbreviation marker.
Thanks for the video. Just to precise and/or add:
1. There are ca. 15 million Armenians around the world, not 6M or 7M.
2. Parthian is not "north-western", but rather a north-EASTERN Iranian language (just look at the map that you have shown at 2:13 and find Parthia – its in the norther – north east of Iran).
3. "Hazar" may be borrowed from Persian, but not vat; the latter is the cognate of English "bad" and derives from proto-Aryan roots.
4. The Armenian "mard" (human) contains the same root as the Indo-European "mortum", and means "mortal". The Germanic "man" has its cognate in Armenian in the form of "manuk" = child (literally "man+uk", i.e. a "small man").
Otherwise, many thanks again for presenting my mother tong. A great job done! 👍
8:20 It is more correct to say that the distinction is person vs non-person, as you can personify something (an animal, plant, etc.) and that changes the way it is axpressed grammatically.
crazy.
