I realize they have the ability to learn but they will never have the ability to multiply like humans do and will always need “repairs”,also done by humans so how close are robots really to taking over anything.? 8. At the rate AI is advancing, I don't think it will too long before it's able to start doing various jobs once wholly reserved for humans. in fact, if they're able to interface with other machines they may be better than humans at the tasks assigned to them. ?

9. We don't yet fully — not even close to fully — understand our own consciousness. It's probably not a good idea, and not going to turn out too well, working so hard to create a new one [consciousness].

10. If we were super advanced spiritually as well a intellectually and a peaceful civilization the prospect of AI isn't too scary, more to the contrary, the prospects would be quite exciting. However, we are not like this, at all. And the fact that the biggest funders of this technology is the military-intelligence-industrial-complex, is scary as fuck to me.

18. I’m very excited to see new developments. I am very optimistic about robots and humans working together and the human race benefiting from their development. I hope maybe the robots themselves can help us develop safeguards and solutions to potential dangers.

20. Maybe we humans are like machines made of meat and that's that! Conciseness will probably emerge naturally without humans actually trying to understand or recreate it. Whether we understand it or not, evolution worked for us and will probably work the same way for AI. And our silicon "overlords"will be probably as interested in us as we are in monkeys. We don't feel the urge to wipe them off the face of the Earth or teach them how electricity works. We just coexist peacefully.

22. I hate to break the news and be the harbinger of doom to the scientific community, but shouldnt we be skeptical unless the code has been reviewed? If the same experiment can be conducted under different conditions maybe, but reality now is many of these AI are just modified chat bots. The code behind the robots decisions needs to be peer reviewed or tested for preprogramming errors.

I don't think that challenging  our God is a very good way at all  to train our dog or cats or our robots at all  …it is not very  fair at all  to them  as  they are totally  innocent  so that will  just  come right back   onto you ..so  now  you are the guilty one for putting them up to it…have a nice day

24. we are created in Gods image and robot is created in mans image..   Huh ?  I only trust God over man is the only problem with that …mans image is or has been totally corrupted  and not what it once was………..in the beginning …so how can robot ever have a fair chance ?

25. I was watching a video about Saudi Arabia giving Sophia citizenship. It also discussed plans to develop a method of payment for paying such AI robots for their work then countries can tax them. Sure out of control AI does concern me but so does the rich and powerful trying to replace your average citizen. Think about it having a workforce of obediant high performing AI that you can still tax and get money from. You wouldn't need people to do menial tasks anymore. So if there's a limited amount of resources just replace people with these AI who will not consume as many resources. To the so called masters of the universe (the wealthy and powerful) replacing the population with AI servants would be a no brainier. Maybe I'm just pessimistic.

31. "Human level Artificial general intelligence in 5-7 years". It didn't happen, why? Because you can't short cut the hardware development. Software is always ready, its the computer power that lags, and the progression of computing power has followed a very predictable growth curve over 100 years. When the growth curve is extrapolated to human brain power, we get the year 2029. For the next ten years, especially around 2022,23 and 24, we will hear many doubters about human level artificial intelligence. We will hear that it just isn't possible, and then before we know it, around 2029, the break through will come, given by the exponential growth rate of computing power.
