  1. Dennett is receiving the just reward for his life's work. I wonder if he can convince himself that his unfortunate place in eternity is just an illusion.

  2. Dennel asked, why don't you Christian be like JESUS? I don't agree with many things by dennet but this question to Dr Bob is something dennet was right, and the Bible also clear that the LORD set His life as foot steps to follow Him but the ussye us tgat no believer is doing it, the LORD said you must be witnesses to me throughout the world 🌍 but what we see is only believers, both Bill & Kevin, that's the central issue the great Chrustianity is undermined by the believers.

  3. He thinks Russia's invasion of Ukraine was unprovoked, lol. He probably thinks the Israel-Palestine conflict began on October 7 too. These dispensationalist lunatics are going to destroy the whole world.

  4. I've never met an atheist or even a self-identified ex-Christian who could steel man Christianity. That suggests to me that atheism is more of a left brain-dominant phenomenon than intellectual conclusion.

  5. Listening to Dennett and Dawkins give thanks brings me to;

    Rom 1:19-22 For what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them.
    20 For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood from His workmanship, so that men are without excuse.
    21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified Him as God nor gave thanks to Him, but they became futile in their thinking and darkened in their foolish hearts.
    22 Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools,….

    It's a perfect fit.

  6. The best part is them talking about values, beauty, luck, good and bad and better, all while having no way or justification to ground any of that. As usual, on atheism you just need to declare stuff.

  7. One thing that keeps me from the christian faith is this disgusting thought of non-Christians going to hell, because they didn't put all of their faith into Jesus. So many Jesus fanboys in these comments are like "aha he's in hell now" and then this is the religion of grace and goodness.

  8. Prof. Ron McClamrock assigned Dennett's "Consciousness Explaind" when I studied cognitive science. Although I enjoyed that well-written book, he joked in its only memorable part where He wrote something like, "The sea squirt wanders the sea floor, looking for a hime. After it attaches itself to a suitable rock, it eats its brain because it doen't need it anymore. It's rather like getting tenure."

    I'm sorry Prof, Dennett left us and hope he died in the Catholic Church. But I wonder whether something was wrong with the book because only two sentences stuck with me.

  9. The usual unutterable arrogance of religious believers. They will have no truck with the idea that anyone could possibly disagree with them in good conscience.

    Kind of reminds me of leftists.

  10. His writing style (like Christopher Hitchens') was quite good, but his content (like his fellow "horseman") was quite unacceptable for a follower of Christ. My girlfriend and I saw Dennett at a local college over a decade ago, and found him pompous and unyielding. I have virtually nothing in my heart but sadness for both Daniel and Christopher (who also visited the same college)… sadness for what appears to be a Christ-less eternity.

  11. This video made me laugh ,… cherry-picking n mis representing Daniel c denett out of context ,… Evolution is greatest scientific theory humans ever had , Daniel c Denett is a legend and hero for many people like me , universal acid is pervasive,… please liberate urself from illusions
