I liked this not for the realistic technique- which is obviously good- but rather, when you started adding the light effect onto those stairs, they turned into something more symbolic of an inner psyche and the door opening to go up the mind's attic with all its dark components, shedding clarity and hope up there. In this case, it was a contrast to me at least that those stairs went up rather than down. It makes the drawing's subject a higher level of complex in terms of the psyche we're looking at. Something that is uber strong or even supernatural in that mind…
