  1. Not sure if you’ve posted before but I’d love details on your bracelets!! Been wanting some for awhile now but everyone I find whose wearing nice ones say they make them 😞

  2. I'm thinking about letting my 12 and 14 year olds use level 4 for two reasons, one is because it'll be our first year using TGTB and I want to be sure we don't leave any gaps since it's a new program. The other reason is to help them nail down some good grammar and writing skills before diving into highschool work. Did your 12 year old find it interesting and challenging enough? If we chose to do a higher level (5 or 6) would the grammar and writing have sufficient review? Oh I just remembered another reason I liked level 4…the Geography scope. Some practical stuff covered in this level. I'm just hesitant because it seems like a very low level for them to use.

  3. Hi, I just found your videos last night and excited to learn about G&B. Looking for next year curriculum for my daughters whom will be 5th and 6th graders. I have a question though as I can't tell from the site examples. How many days in a one week timeframe are the writing and grammar lessons, excluding grammar cards? Thank you. Shannon, a new follower!

  4. I am stealing your "Billy Smartie pants" comment. My twins are hard on themselves when it comes to what they May not know and that so-and-so is smarter ….. This is perfect. My kiddos are not Billy Smartie Pants, they are them and they are made wonderfully <3

  5. When I was kid I LOVED writing. I loved reading. I would be constantly writing stories, poems, plots, plays and songs. I was a writer! I was filled with stories, characters and adventures. But then Secondary school. The english teacher I had was quite classical and ' proper grammar' 'little creatvity' in her approach. It took the writing out of me, I this was large part to exams also. So I get what you mean when you talk about good writing actually taking out writing. I do however think that good writing is important. It would interesting if you could get an aprroach which gave good writing and develpoed creativity ??

  6. In your opinion would this be good for someone with learning disabilities? My daughter is 11 and she has the drive for school but struggles with most subjects. Reading is a struggle. I need something that will create a peaceful learning environment for her. I was considering Writer's Jungle before I saw this video.

  7. Is there repetition of the grammar? I noticed online on the samples it introduced a concept in a lesson and then moved on. Does it ever review the concepts?

  8. By the way my 11 and 13 year both are using this. They both really like it. Of course my 13 year old has more writing assignments but doesn't seem too much for him. Since has never really liked language arts, I'm hoping that he can learn to like it more with this as well as learn some things that he may have missed while in public school. 🙂 Next school year I will have him do the level that best suits where he is at once that curriculum comes out. 🙂

  9. I got this set after you did that review on the history. I had not even heard about this curricumlum until then. I absolutely adore the Creative Companion. The art work is amazing! 🙂 My boys seem to really like the map work alot. I'm in love with everything I have gotten so far. I actually did end up getting the history as well. 😉
