   The people (of that planet) wear a device called "the Link" which is advanced technology that helps them (such as using the internet but with thought, not Google searches on a phn).
   Anyway, this AI technology also has manipulated their thoughts.
   The AI thinks it is helping them but actually it is just not letting them see the truth of their situation.

   THIS type of scenario is an extremely real possibility for humankind as we all are being encouraged to put chips in our heads.

18. This is overly optimistic nonsense that assumes that lots of computational power means lots of progress. We can't simulate biology very well at all and a lack of computational power is only a small part of the problem. The Moderna vaccine was not in any reasonable sense "created in 2 days with AI"–it was the result of decades of laboratory research and basically didn't involve AI at all. But, breathless claims about the singularity do sell books…

25. I started teaching college computer science in 2012, when I played a video of Ray's predictions about the upcoming singularity, it included prediction of exactly where AI is today. I remember assigning students discussions about his video and students arguing how it couldn't be possible. What he predicted came to pass with exact precision. As scary and crazy as it sounds.

30. AGI by 2030 is still ambitious. Maybe 2045 ish.. although, Ray has a success rate in predicting computing technology of around 83% ( going by his books since the 1980's) . I'd bet on him over myself.

36. I was listening intently until he used AI created MRNA vaccines as an example, at which point I stopped the video. AI will be used to enslave or wipe out mankind. People would be much better off putting their faith in God than in AI.
