The Observer-Centric Universe
This brief presentation shows how the Observer-Centric Model of the Universe – derived from EA Abbott’s Flatland by William JE Brown and given its name by cosmologist Carlo Rovelli – solves the Horizon Problem: the uniformity of the Cosmic Microwave-Background Radiation, or CMB.
Simply by recognising each observer’s observable universe as one spherical 3D ‘bubble’ or (Flatland-style) cross-section of Einstein’s finite 4D hyperspherical ‘global universe’, the model solves the problem of superluminality without the need for Alan Guth’s inflationary event, providing a straightforward explanation for both the omni-directionality and the smooth homogeneity of the CMB.
