The Obviously True Theorem No One Can Prove

  1. Goldbach’s conjecture must be one of the most amazing open problems of modern maths. The fact that it’s so essy to understand it, yet so incredibly difficult to prove. It kinda also reminds me of the axiom of choice. where it’s just obviously true. But I mean the modern axiomatic system is such that you can expect any type of things to occur, so i wouldnt be surprised if some very obvious axiom that we have never thought of would come and this would get easily shown.

  2. what if numbers weren't infinity, Negative and positive aren’t opposite They’re just neighbors on a circle where Arithmetic becomes periodic would we be thinking of physics incorrect in extreme behaviors? would this mean our "Standard Math" is incorrect as this could possibly be true but its not how we imagine numbers, and wouldn't this make the center of this circle or sphere this illusion would create the true Zero point. this only comes to mind because everything in the universe seems to be round/circular

  3. As a kid growing up in China in the 80s, Chen was the most prominent figure in the science world. I knew him before I heard of Newton, Einstein, Euler, or any other mathematician or scientist. Had he not lost years of life to the cultural revolution, I can't imagine what he could've accomplished.

  4. What happens to a blood droplet when it drops from space?
What happens to blood when it's released in space? Does it collect space debris like a vacuum? Is it capable of turning into water by way of starlight? When blood renters the atmosphere does it react like a penny or because blood is liquid is it reacts differently when reacting with gravity?

  5. All of you are confusing scale with complexity.

You're basically asking if we keep slicing a pizza all the way through indefinitely will it ever not be an even number of slices?

Every second grader is taught this and the solution is obvious.

It will always come to the same outcome because there was no underlying mechanical change to
The formula in the same way

    2+2=4
    20+20=40
200+200=400 (just cause another zero is added isn't going to change the underlying logic and its the same deal with that problem that all of you already know the answer to)
and so on you can keep scailing but it will never break because of the pattern that's been established and this will go to infinity due to that fact.

Took you all 300 years while it should have taken 30 seconds, each of you get an F

    Now where's my million?

  6. 12:36 If you did not know, Steven Strogatz also appears in other videos by Veritasium, too, including the video where it talks about Strogatz and another man, Duncan Watts (what I remember, though), trying to solve the small-world problem.
