The Nerdwriter is a series of video essays about art, culture, politics, philosophy and more.
The internet is a game-changer for education in poverty. With free online resources like YouTube and Google, anyone can learn new skills and overcome barriers to success. The internet is a powerful tool for leveling the playing field and empowering people to achieve their dreams.
chatgpt recommended me your channel actually
For some funny unknown reasons, I disliked this 3 months ago 🙂
Want to hear something funny? I found his channel when I asked ChatGPT for suggestions of you-tubers similar to Jacob Geller
The Real Danger Of ChatGPT
Makes a scary ass video. Ends with happy with a I hope everyone is having a great year?!? Fuck you chat gbt is weird and growing up this is the fantasy shit I watched in the terminator!!
Three months later and this already feels outdated.
Relying on a chatbot to write for you turns you into a button pushing monkey.
nah man, theres gonna be a couple of years of school kids who cant write before education catches on but ultimately ppl will find the beauty of writing and do it from their heart.
Plot twist : The script of this video was made by ChatGPT
"Education is the lighting of a fire, not the filling of a pail," could it be time for us to address how we educate our future generations? A time to inject some creative solutions, close the gap and let the system catch up? Ironically, with some creative prompting I think I know just the thing for the job… cue the bot! Does anyone who was alive when the internet emerged feel that same energy brewing and ready to implode? A mix of fear and excitement and you know you have to look and once you do you can't turn away. Intriguing times!☺️
ChatGPT is easily broken.
"When are we ever going to need this in real life?"
Imagine going to the gym and asking people when they're ever going to need to lift a dumbbell "in real life".
Its ability to get in all algorithms and put its self in the best keywords to focus on the people who are acceptable to it. You understand that you dont understand. Put your self as jason Bourne even that charcter isnt thinking of as much as ai
writing is thinking made manifest. no writing, no thinking!
It’s cheating and lazy. No one really learns anything anymore. Age of idiocracy.
People are sheep to a.i they don’t take it seriously only the smarter seem to be staying on top of news on a.I and it’s dangers it could be the next pandemic so to speak
Sooner or later ai will be indistinguishable from human. I'd say we already passed that threshold… Humans have the arrogance to think we are special and can't be replaced.
boo hoo
Critical thinking is really reduced. The inability to form an opinion is dangerous
There is no real danger. People are very stupid already.
The site is blocked me for no reason and I cant even use it, so this is poop.
You referred to yourself as myself, which is reflexive. You meant, like me. Now I have to question everything else you said. LOL
a shock to no one, all essay writing did was create YouTubers. chatgpt is AWESOME. thank goodness.
That was a waste of time. U talking about your teenage years. You said a whole lot of nothing. Damn man, do better.
Nice logic. Cars are dangerous, keep using horses.
As a student who got recommended Chat GPT by my teacher. I have nothing to say…
Wait I do, I'm becoming more and more reliant on the Ai and constantly use it when I can't find information or references elsewhere (such as not having enough information on a particular topic for a project or assignment).
I can see nothing but negatives to society from this not-even-new tech. People are giving it credit as any kind of "intelligence" waaay too soon, and companies like OpenAI are ready to exploit that to milk the most about of money from the public while they can. They are probably the most unethical company in the world atm, imho. We need to educate children (and adults) how to think critically – if something seems to be too good to be true, it probably is! Though of course, that ain't gonna happen.
The thing is, like it or not… AI can't think/imagine outside its Box. will it be able to do that? Would then, can we really call it an AI aka "Artifical Intelligence" as oppose to the Intelligence that a sentient being posseses?
What will be interesting is, ChatGPT exists because all its contents is from ocean of inputs from humans on the Internet. So if people now increasingly use ChatGPT and no longer produce new content, the ChatCPTs output will start flooding the Internet and dominate the human inputs. Hence it will start feeding itself and it go into chaos, like two mirrors reflecting each others image back into themselves with a candle in the middle.
Technology itself is rarely the issue, it’s how reckless we are in using it. Something quick and easy to wield like Ai means our recklessness gets more comfortable.
We’re already very comfortable with swinging anything we can get our hands on like a sledge hammer and don’t bother to think about how we’ll clean up what it destroys. So it was, so it is, so it will be
Hi I am from Indonesian
then you wont need music or art or anything creative when automation takes your job it will have already took your value in whole. Its all fun and games till you hear the words UNIVERSAL INCOME to try and deal with the mass job loss due to automation. SO THERE IS THAT.
Chatgpt is also useful to flesh out ideas you have that you'll use in storytelling, I'm writing a fanfic that fixes the issues of source material & I'm using chatgpt to ask for guidance on good writing & adding ideas that will improve my fanfic & make it compelling.
It's still not ready but I'll be happy to share it once it's finish
Are there any updates you would make to this essay now that ChatGPT with GPT-4 has been out for a while?
Them damn phones are making the kids autistic
Another serious danger is social engineering through it's influence.
I'm 54 and my wife and I are VERY worried about our future, gas and food prices rising daily. We have had our savings dwindle with the cost of living into the stratosphere, and we are finding it impossible to replace them. We can get by, but can't seem to get ahead. My condolences to anyone retiring in this crisis, 30 years nonstop just for a crooked system to take all you worked for.
We continue to dummy down future generations. We hat happens when ideologies and beliefs are pushed to these users, and they take them as the gospel?
I mean, the counterpoint is that the education system is seriously outdated. Governments all over the world are not interested in updating the way they teach middle and highschool students to reflect the real world and a lot of people see it as a waste of time and im noticing a huge increase in the amount of people withdrawing their kids from main stream schools and homeschooling their kids which, honestly is fair. Ken Robinson has done several ted talks around this subject and how the education system only caters to a portion of the population and only stifles childrens ability and desire to learn today. We need a change. Yesterday.
