Exploring the Mysterious Nature of Consciousness: Can We Ever Fully Understand Consciousness?
Dr. John Doyle is a retired Staff Anesthesiologist in the Department of General Anesthesiology at Cleveland Clinic, as well as a retired Professor of Anesthesiology at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University. He first joined Mensa in 1972. Dr. Doyle received his MD degree in 1982 and his PhD degree in Biomedical Engineering in 1986, both from the University of Toronto. In 2017 he received his DPhil degree from the University of Pretoria in the field of Moral Philosophy. He has had a lifelong interest in the neuroscience behind consciousness . His most recent book, on the topic of Transhumanism, was published by Springer. Dr. Doyle has received teaching awards on four occasions. More information is available at danieljohndoyle.com.
