IGN
With Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered now released on PC, IGN sat down with some of the game’s devs to talk about how the introduction cinematic of Peter Parker’s apartment came to be and how one ‘80s cinema classic heavily inspired the entire process. This is Art of the Level.

Of course Peter Parker would try to commit to having a houseplant then fail to take proper care of it. Thats probably the most relatable a superhero has ever been to me.
Can’t get enough of these vids ❤
even without them explaining in the interview, their intention from the intro is clear as day to me (outside of those easter eggs from the comics)
Sad part is that SP2 won't be on PC. Maybe like a year after launch
These are literally the best things IGN puts out, kudos!
This was a great video, thanks!
1:20 that was smooth IGN ngl
Insomniac 💙
Love seeing the technical aspects and challenges the developers faced. In the end the game turned out amazing. Can't wait for the sequel
Dorno has an attention to detail voiced with genuine enthusiasm and engagement. I'll miss seeing his work at IGN 🥲. Great work Dorno!
Shes got the spider plushy thats in one of the backpacks in game
The most overdone to the ground Marvel superhero ever…smh
Marvel❤
Game was average at best 😂
This is more "art of a cutscene" than "art of a level".
This would never work in the modern world full of smartphones and mass surveillance cause someone would've caught him jump out of that apartment window lol.
Love this video series! Jonathon, IGN crew, awesome work!
If they achieved this level of detail with the 1st game, then Spider-Man 2 is gonna be there Magnum Opus. Venom already confirmed. Wow
Really is a great opening. Insomniac couldn’t be more cool!
Awesome work Jonathan.
Wasn’t that ripped off of one of the movies?
Excellent work Jonathon
Yea the opening is super dope 💟

Solid video IGN. Something original for once instead of mimicking YouTubers. Hope to see more of this don’t the road 👍
Still bothers me to this day he ate that bread that he webshooted.
Dev team should be proud of what they achieved with Spider-Man PS4. GREATEST SPIDER-MAN video game EVER, and one of the greatest comic book videogames.
If they werent so distracted only by the intro the stealth play would be better.
what a great way from Jonathan Dornbush to say goodbye!
Best spider man game period no debate!! The story, combat, characters and New york city is just sooo freakin excellent.♥️
Algorithm.
the intro to this game was fantastic. it reminded me a lot of sam rami spiderman movies
I'm I the only one that noticed he left his phone yet continues receive calls 😆
my second favorite game of all time. a true masterpiece.
The fact this has been posted now gives me hope for an update soon
Honestly, kinda wished they gave a shout to the band Warbly Jets for that great intro song, really fit with the whole Spidey persona
Ninja theory video games are cool
Spider-Man being released on pc right before PS showcase and now this video a week prior the event.
smells like we're up for a treat on the 10th 🙂
Most badass intro to a game ever..on par with dino crisis 2 imo
Man, Spider Man lotus last swing was also great.
The cinematics are really movie like. 💛
I'm still playing it
This is one of my favorite games of all time
It's almost as if respecting the character(s) and knowing what they're all about is a fantastic idea and can lead to a superb end product 😛
Get me more pictures of Spider-Man!!!!
One of the best PC games, that’s for sure.
Yet another in-depth look into parts of this game that just makes me love it even more.
Stop lying ign. Gaming isn’t art anymore than the chefs for the Taco Bell menu
Agreed, the back to the future themed intro compiled with the immediate action thereafter into the game, makes this one of the best intro's of all time imo. Man, makes me wonder what Insomniac could do with a back to the future license!!
Spiderman stays up all night fighting crime. Of course he is going to wake up post noon
The intro to this was definitely on par with superhero games like Batman Arkham Asylum and Arkham City. Definitely sets the right tone and energy.
