It’s sick but I grew up with a dad who’s a great mix of Jesse and Jax and my mom has Michelle’s personality when she’s not among family. She comes off cold. But watching this show is like therapy for me lol the darkness is familiar. I was so lucky that my dad did love me and was amazing, my mom not as much but as I get older I wonder if I just felt bad for my dad? Anyway The Valley is helping me process my childhood. And I love it lol

I think its possible Jesse is one of those guys that is like a con artist with his behavior. he is very calculated and manipulative . Behind close doors off camera he is different to Michelle but when cameras roll all we see is jesse complacent and michelle reacting to his off camera behavior, we dont see so it makes her look crazy. I dont think she is though i think shes not reacting to nothing. Shes legit upset but jesse hides himself on camera. We start to see cracks in jesse though.

My two best friends and I left Oklahoma about the same time (early eighties). Both were hyper-focused on losing their Southern accent – and successfully did so – as soon as they moved to California. I (probably like Brittany) never wanted to try that hard to lose mine and never have.
