I'm glad Kevin Clark got his bag. Dude has been one of the best in the biz for years.
Anyone who watched the scrambles Purdy had that essentially were the difference in the NFC championship game would realize he is not merely a creation of Shanahan's scheme and play calling wizardry. When the play would break down with Jimmy G there was no plan b and he would often throw a panic INT over the middle. Purdy is far from perfect and has his limitations but he is not just a paint by number Qb. Watch the tape.

I'm really surprised the Niners are the favorite in Vegas. Unless CMC has a monster game, I think the Chiefs should win pretty easily. Winning at Buffalo and at Baltimore were harder games.

Mike Clark, you have embarrassed your family name… rating Mahomes over Purdy in efficiency is incorrect… Purdy is heads and shoulders higher than Mahomes… Purdy the MVP… Mahomes is the loser in the contest… and that's how we call it.
As a 49ers fan, Mahomes is by far on a whole other level at the QB position. You can never count him out – been saying it all year and especially in the playoffs. 49ers are the better team and should win, but there is the Mahomes factor. It's going to be a nail-biter.
Mahommes has one weapon: Kelse. Purdy has four stellar options, at least two of whom are the best at their position in the league. I’m still favoring the Chiefs because Patrick and Jason are the new Montana & Rice. AND Taylor Swift will be in the box doing the chiefs chop!

Absolutely ZERO chance Kyle changes Purdy after what he witnessed in that Lions game. Purdy is here to stay get used to it, not hearing a peep otherwise. The one reason it’s true is, what he’s got going on above the shoulders on top of what he does on the field. He’s the reason Niners win.
49er fan and big Purdy believer. But the Superbowl will be all about how bad the 49er defensive line is – allowing Pacheco 150 yards on the ground & Mahomes 50 yards rushing. Mahomes will also get 100 yards passing from screen passes alone. The lions are very talented but there is no doubting how Mahomes can carve up a poor defense. 31-21 chiefs.
I'm sorry. Kevin Clark and Eisen and far from blood hounds with a nose for a great story. They are tracking the wrong story. 1) Mahomes has been over done. On the other hand, Brock Purdy has not been just amazing. He's been unprecedented and super amazing. He was the last person selected in the draft. Just 2 years ago. He's won 4 play off games in his career already. He's been to a super bowl and an NFC championship game. He's come from behind in his last 2 games in the playoffs. I bet he plays far better against Kansas City than Jackson did last week. Brock Purdy is the real story.
The only thing that matters with Brock Purdy is Trey Lance couldn’t do this, Sam darnold who’s literally there right now cannot do this & Jimmy g could only do a certain level of this.

I agree with his philosophy to not project QB prospects too much, no pick is a lock.
Had 9ers drafted in order or at least used picks more wisely we'd be in way better shape.
