@DikeEris – Indeed. And, yes, a great deal of classical Asian thought looks (as it were) in this direction. I'm going to be putting up a video soon on the 11th century Philosopher/Aesthetic Abhinavagupta & his ideas on "Rasa".

the aesthetic experience produces content important to individual minds. If we want to understand the world and it inhabitants aesthetic experience is important.
