Physics Explained
This video provides a basic introduction to the Schrödinger equation by exploring how it can be used to perform simple quantum mechanical calculations. After explaining the basic structure of the equation, the infinite square well potential is used as a case study. The separation of variables approach is used to solve the Schrödinger equation and Born’s probabilistic interpretation of the wave-function is used to calculate the expectation value of the position of a particle in a box. Stationary states are discussed, and it is shown that a linear superposition of energy eigenstates leads to non-stationary states with uncertain energy. The oscillation frequency of a simple superposition of states is calculated and comparisons with radiation emission from atoms is discussed.

Magnificent!
No one knows……
It seems that I understood about quantum mechanics more from this lecture than from all my previous attempts combined.
You would think PETA would be really upset by this guy.
Thank you for the video.
I am teaching myself Quantum mechanics and I found your video super valuable. Thank you for making such invaluable work. It is indeed a lot of effort to make it easy to understand a layman like me.
it's not gay tho
I'm just engineering student, I try to understand this with zero knowledge, the only thing I familiar is wave. But I still enjoy and act I know it. lol
What is your Name young man..?!
You mean I'll change the world..!!
Brilliant video! Congratulations!
19 47 Schrodinger
Combining special relativity with quantum mechanics then gave us the existence of anti matter…which was later observed in cloud chambers…😁👍
One third of knowledge is math.
Amazing. You can really learn anything on the internet these days. Thank you very much.
Man your channel is wayyyy under rated. But you'll get the deserved fame at last without any doubt. I enjoy your videos so much, you did an absolutely fabulous work. THANK YOU ! Take care 🙂
Thanks!
great stuff captain
Thanks
I learned more from this video than I had learned during the whole semester when I took Quantum Mechanics I in my undergrad.
Yeah like duhhhh
It was an awesome quantum mechanical journey! Thanks a lot. I watched it in one sitting. Great video
Truly excellent presentation and a valuable resource.
Wow! This was about a half of my introductory QM course in 1 1/2 hours. It is so clear, and so amazing that a) the universe works this way and b) people discovered these equations!
As a 37 yo physicist thanks for including the brief history bit lol
Amazing. Such a beautiful and comprehensive explanation. But what is even more amazing is neither the word 'Fourier' nor the word 'Hilbert' needed to be said! Not even once!
2:00 please don't let anyone tell you that being too old prohibits you from making a contribution to society.
Slipknot is a great example!!
Thank you. it helps me to understand schrodinger equation
TOO DAMN BEAUTIFUL BRO. TOOK LIKE 3 HOURS BUT DEFINITELY WORTH IT.
👏👏👍
56:50 There should be a dx in the expression for dg
That is so great, I know this equation since I was 16 years old. I love it. Math is so great. ❤
Insanely well made videos, keep it up!
Just want to say thank you for making this course. You make me understand my one semester QM introductory course much much better 😊
Schrödinger? we all know Euler discovered it first lol
If my name was Peter Debye whenever I leave a room I'd say, "Debye now!"
This presentation is a jewel in YouTube's discissing academic content, IMHO. Excelent work! Certainly looking forward to seeing the next one.
Efforts ❤💪
💘💘❤❤💕💕
you are a great teacher and you doing great job
