Love the explanation. I wish I had known this years ago.
I'm baffled as to why people think meditation is annoying? Can anyone explain this? (No judgement. I honestly want to know).
Whats making you unhappy is not the situation most of the time. Its your thoughts and feelings. Involuntary thoughts and emotions. Automatic judgements and interpretation. If you lose your wallet, you lose your wallet. That is what is, might as well accept it. But for most people, its "FUCK, GOD DAMNIT, now i have to call my bank, the government, my ids…WHY DOES IT ALWAYS HAPPEN TO ME, OMG IS SOMEONE GOING TO USE MY CREDIT CARD? COMMIT FRAUD?" and so on. But the moment you realize arguing and mentally thinking is not going to do anything. Just accept what is and take action, face it completely without resistance.
Dan Harris did an interview with Eckhart Tolle, hes still lost in ego land. It's just that the ego wants to be enlightened lmao
Great!! You managed to explain it clearer and faster than I did 🙂
Great explanation! I am a Pain Psychologist and we are just now training our physicians about Mindfulness (with and without meditation). Love the practicality of your message–Mindfully done (no pun intended). =)
Guru Dan spreading the word lol. I can certainly relate, as I've been trying to spread the word as well ever since I was freed from the madness of living in time via meditation. If anyone wants to go a step farther and exercise your emotional baggage, check out Micheal More's "The Presence Process".
Dan Harris, voice sounds exactly like that of Dan Siegel, who is also a proponent of mindfulness.
I am just starting meditating a week ago and surprisingly a huge difference on how I react to things that make me angry. I also feel I am more nicer not as angry.I wanted to learn more about it and I am serious on making meditation a habit and in my life. thank you for sharing this superpower.
Very well put Mr
Intelligent, insightful, and to the point. If we add one more thing to our practice-intention-we can make real changes in our world. To begin with the intention of kindness toward all, epsecially ourselves, we prime the pump for a more benevolent society to emerge.

Great little clip, thanks.
