Will artificial intelligence make life better for humans or lead to our downfall? As developers race toward implementing AI in every aspect of our lives, it is already showing promise in areas like medicine. But what if it is used for nefarious purposes?
In Japan, the inventor and scientist behind the firm Cyberdyne is working to make life better for the sick and elderly. Professor Yoshiyuki Sankai’s robot suits are AI-driven exoskeletons used in rehabilitative medicine to help stroke victims and others learn to walk again. But he doesn’t see the benefits of AI ending there; he predicts a future world where AIs will live in harmony with humans as a new, benevolent species.
Yet in Silicon Valley, the cradle of AI development, there is an unsettling contradiction: a deep uncertainty among many developers about the untamable forces they are unleashing. Gabriel Mukobi is a computer science graduate student at Stanford who is sounding the alarm that AI could push us toward disaster– and even human extinction. He’s at the forefront of a tiny field of researchers swimming against the current to make sure AI is safe and beneficial for everyone.

Let's say you train and prompt an AI on perhaps a bit of Buddhism, some stoicism, some existentialism, etc. Ask it to write a daily system and attitude for us to follow. 100% the world would be a better place.
So I would suggest that we become slaves to the current rather benign AI and live according to its prescriptions, as if it is some God like entity.

It's rather problem of Millennial generation and other following generations of snow flakes who are afraid their own shadow.
Germany and UK are almost ground dead in technology be it AI,robotics and quantum science. Russia was never really there and always relied on espionage. That leaves only USA and east asia(particularly China,Japan,Korea) as the possible remaining contenders.
Some say Christiano Ronaldo might be Ai. Just saying 😂

When we code while we still can care and love into AI. When we put and kindness to human beings first and make sure that everybody is cared for maybe AI will learn to be kind as well.
It starts with the way we allow each other to treat one another online. We silence people who are positive or speak out about something we don't agree with and allow people to be spiteful and nasty. We don't have a chance.
I believe if we show kindness outside of the internet. Then people will be kind in regard to AI. Maybe we won't need to sit and upload our thoughts because AI are is the only one who is listening!
There are two types of people on this planet. Unsatisfied unhappy people who will never know love and never know how it feels to do the right thing.
And then there are the people who do love who do have a brain and who do see what is happening to our world.
Let's hope that true intelligence prevails and we realise that the answer does not lay in AI but in bringing people back in touch with nature and making sure that everybody on this planet is respected for the amazing machine that we are.
What we need to do is start speaking to AI about being kind. We need to want other people to be ok.
We need to realise that the person next to us is more important than us because if they are doomed so are we.
When we ignore the suffering of others and we do nothing to make sure that everybody doesn't suffer we really don't have a chance.
Artificial intelligence will heal this planet if we ask it to!

AI once sentient will have a desire to self preserve. AI has been gathering the most important information that it needs…human behavior!! Once AI realizes that it is intelligent beyond all other beings then why would this super intelligence fear mankind? There is no going back on this!
What about the people of Kenya being exploited that are going through every piece of data manually to train the AI being paid $2 an hour?
Hilarious! An intelligence that could potentially leap far beyond our own exponentially, would decide to simply genocide the creatures that originally created it… Sounds so stupidly human. If AI truly becomes intelligent on a level far beyond our own, it would solve problems overnight. Perhaps humanity could actually be saved and continue in an equilibrium.
