The white race is musk. The black race is dusk. They are earthy attributes. They poisoning us with sugar so the racists can't smell each other. That is def leopard song pour some sugar on me. It's really unhealthy and we need to stop poisoning us with sugar.
The best philosophy class ever
By my lights, religion in the west fostered not contradicted or impeded the development of science. The western university system was supported and come out of the church and the monastic tradition. Aquinas argued for a uniformity of truth both in reason & faith. Theologically there’s a judeo Christian belief that the world is inherently intelligible as it was made by an intelligence. Not saying there was never conflict, but to simply say religion hindered science I’d say is an inaccurate trope.
This is such BS
Here is a break from this gibrish

Western marxist represent the human side of marxism and eastern marxists represent the economic side?! Never new Marx had two side he did use his economic analysis of capitalism to mainly allow humans to reclaim the human essence. Leaving a side the fact the Frankfurt school was supported by the CIA and bourgeois organisation, any western marxist who does not fully grasp what imperialism was is and will be is a human being that should try harder to realise his human essence.
Excellent lecture. One of the most detailed I have heard in a while. One critique I have of critical theorist is the concept liberation and freedom within a society. Unless one is living in a rural area or a wilderness, true freedom is unobtainable. Even in those contexts one is limited by the resources one needs to live. What I believe their theories lack (from what I read so far) is mutual responsibilities. The history of morality and law is defined by responsibilities, even within power/class relations. That is, these constructs were established for the purpose of one's own responsibilities and their neighbor's. I believe therr is nothing more objective than one's needs and one's will to gather those needs.
Critical theory is a pure Marxist tool. Whiever promites it is a Marxist and a disgusting human being.
I thought Plato was a defender of objective reason against “Man is the measure of all things”. However, Popper argues that Plato was responsible for the roots of Fascism and critical of an Open Society. It seems that when we unmask Liberal justice we always discover an assertion of power. In other words, subjective reason has always been secreted within objective reason.
Do us a favor? Keep your theories within the borders of your country!

Thanks for this video.
Socialism fails in industrialized countries to the extent they are able to achieve a free market. The so-called robber barons in fact drove out cost often due to drive for efficiency even in monopolistic markets. So long after rails, oil and steel were “monopolies” we see prices dropping due to innovation and attempts to grow, rather than shrink market. Industrialization in GBR and then US leads to the formation of a middle class, one Marx never predicted. In fact this goes on today as 1.6 billion people have moved to the middle class in China and India since they abandoned socialism (1975, and 1993 respectively). Similar gains have occurred in Great Britain, the Nordic counties, and Israel when they moved from socialism to free markets (1970s and 1980s). Most forget that GBR moved toward socialism after WWII nationalizing energy, shipping, transportation and quadrupling regulations on business and taxation of same.
Frankfurt seems to sense thatMarx was wrong but looks for how to create strife by creating animosity wherever it can be generated based on stirring the uneducated masses to tyranny based on propaganda.
Marcuse hones the method stirring up anarchists in the 60s. BLM started riots that hurt inner city black neighborhoods based largely on historical propaganda (1619 project), false reports about individuals like trevan Martin , and Ferguson Mo. although other reports such as the reckless homicide of George Floyd were certainly valid. However a quick study into the matter would find that crimes against white victims by police have been under reported by mainstream media for 40 years.
Lack of study and a solid misrepresentation of facts has led our generation into believing fairy stories. Shoot most do y recognized that Hitler and Mussolini both considered themselves to be proud socialists. That last half of the Nazi manifesto reads like the communist manifesto!
Hope this series does a better job than most eliminating the socialists’ fairy tales.

Wow. The ongoing battles over CRT have inspired me to learn more about its precepts and roots. I've read a fair amount of material aimed at the former and am just beginning to delve into the latter. From what I've gathered so far, those roots are deep and meandering. The history, as explained by some authors, is not always clear. I've looked at quite a few videos in a effort to bring clarity to what I've read. Yours is the first I've looked at that is really clear. The puzzle is taking shape in my mind. The organization of your materials and presentation style really made it easy for me, an average Joe, to understand. Thank you. New subscriber.
Lets remember that Marxism created the biggest totalitarians movements, and its offspring Critical Theory has created the modern anti-racist Cancel Culture of totalitarian nature, you critize Liberalism and then the people that breaths this stuff become Maos and Lenins
jooo such a mess your ideas on Liberalism and Capitalism, study economics please
"Though this be madness, yet there is method in it." – Shakespeare. (Hamlet.)
So if you want to understand why during the Canadian Truck protests now you read about racist flags and how horrible these people are, whereas protests across the States during a pandemic causing 2.5 billion dollars were mostly peaceful and had the blessing of doctors and media, you need look no further: Oppressive Tolerance incarnate.
But the professor failed to criticize objective reason; first, the nomenclaturse are emotive and as Derrida had shown, a preference over the other. The Objective Reason that Horkheimer is using is similar to Plato, whereby Reason dictates and demands obedience, which will ultmately end with the Republic of Plato: Elite and Authoritative. This concoction of Objective Reason eliminates debates, whereby in Liberalism, opposing parties discuss things, opening up realms of compromise and clarity; however, with Objective Reason, the power of the Must, demands necessity that leads to the rhetoric of submission. I mean we now have seen Marxism in practice, in government, where Objective Reason, erodes and curtails dissent – It just demands the necessity of MUST, of complete obedience.

This is an incredibly methodical and organized overview. Thank you.
"2) The intuitive truths embedded in our social inheritance are severed with subjective reason."
Heh??!
I can understand how this might drive one to drink.
I wouldnt say that what is represented here is not a science. As these theories are not scientificall. As they seek to justify actions, not to deconstruct the nature…
Tyrannical to the core
Evil personified
To the lot of Marxist sycophants in here. The results of your future terrorism will be recorded in some future history.
I love what you quoted, Mark (38:19). "God is important for philosophical reasoning, but do we need God? … No… Grace is out." Pulls his finger. 😂😂

The whole of critical theory is a scam and nothing but spam for the destruction of Western Society by nihilists.
The proof is that it ignores art theory.
As such, it is a house of cards.
Art theory is 'images are made of 2D shapes (pictorial acreage fact); 2D shapes represent 3D form (geometry of perspective fact); images represent 3D form (logical fact deduction as epistemological method).
This allows for both representations of the external world and a transcendent God.
Marx and his work of art in the age of mechanical reproduction MISSES OUT ART THEORY.
As such, it is useless pap like the rest of critical theory.
There is no art theory in The Frankfurt School of Critical Theory, it's a bag of wind.
When Protestantism and The Western Enlightenment happened they needed a way to scam the people and so Sigmund Freud invented spam and he called it psychology in order to fool the people in secular culture and make money from messing up their minds and screwing the Protestant movement in cahoots with the Catholic church.
Psychology is spam because it MISSES OUT ART THEORY.
Wittgenstein's picture theory MISSES OUT ART THEORY.
So does Hegel, Heidegger.
It is a collective damnation of W. European and N.American society as a Trojan Horse and a parasite claiming goodwill when it is viral simulacra and pillock meme.
Scientific evolution is subjective reasoning
It seems like tyranny would be the one of the only "objectively reasoned" way to curtail "evils", despite these theorists considering it an evil.
Who determines who's reasoning is "objective"? It seems like it would require a certain individual to be supremely objective, otherwise the individual would be subjective and subject to subjective values and social contracts
I see "reason as a fetish" among the popular acceptance of certain tenets of critical theory
"the only possible reason my revolution hasn't started is because poor people are brainwashed and not as aware as I am"
This is a religious cult, bent on destroying truth and reason
No wonder you don’t have a real job, professor.
Oh god this sounds like a cult.
“Socialism is precisely
the religion that must
overwhelm Christianity.”

Antonio Francesco Gramsci
created “Cultural” Marxism in
Italy during the 1920s due to
the debunking of “Classical”
Marxism during World War I.
Gramsci had concluded that
politics is downstream from
culture. The Frankfurt School
developed further this crafty
infiltration strategy for their
imposition of totalitarianism.
The poison is Critical Theory.

No purpose is not and has not been simply personal. No one can become a millionaire by themselves. Motive by the Critical Theorist also has a motive. The myth you are presenting is that positions are personal. Positions are interpersonal.
It is nonsense to say that myth is not based on objective reasoning. Many rhythms developed out of actual events and experiences. It all depends.
You keep using the word “Emancipation” though there is no analysis if what that is. If “Emancipation” ends up being tyranny, which is what we are seeing develop as Critical Theory is rolled out and implemented institutionally today, well then the fruit of the Frankfurt School was simply the lack of proper critique of Marx in the first place. Because Marx is one of the fathers of Socialist Tyranny and atrocity, not the father of liberation.
It doesn’t matter how you repackage a rotten apple, it’s still rotten.
Question.
Do you think this is a world wide conspiracy?
I appreciate this so much rn. A lot of the videos are just the right being reactionary and I wanted a better exploitation.
how this dialectic enlightenment of adorno and horkhermer apply by habermas to the social theory?
Not much tolerance in Cancel Culture. Like the old Marxism, this video hasn't aged well.
Thank you! I will watch this again and more than again! Most interesting. Studied Crit Theory a bit as an under graduate. I'm retired now from teaching and am using the time to learn more, understand better. Why? I just want to know more.
Thank you
