  1. The Buddha taught mindfulness to the world first time. Read Buddha's teaching.then you will find original explanations of mindfulness. Greetings from sri Lanka

  2. This is a lot of what my practice (Wicca) teaches and its helped me a lot. I've also been doing some counseling and she's taught me this technique for when I can not get my mind to focus due to my PTSD and stress etc and its been very helpful.

  3. 30 second quick fix nonsense, will be forgotten in 30 seconds.
30 minutes of meditation per day is far better to train your brain to leave the house in a calm and peaceful state, to understand and not allow emotions and thoughts to overcome you. As for impulse of the phone, you really should be more aware of your impulses.

  5. I started mindfulness meditation last week. Sometimes just 10 minutes for the meditation seem too long for me. This is a great tip! I’ll try this at my work and everywhere.

  6. I didn't really get how many repetitions should be done for each object. He says "say the name, make one deep breath, THEN repeat 3 times for each object. Does the word THEN mean we're gonna have to do it 4 times altogether? Or the first time counts too, so it is 3 times including the first repetition?
Will be very thankful to receive a reply. ,:-)

  7. Glad I found this video! I struggle with anxiety and driving is extremely hard! Been trying to understand the mindfulness technique, this video makes it simple ! Thank you so much !!

  8. Amazing technique, but there is one technique that I use and it works for me all the time. I stop talking in my mind. Thinking stops automatically when we stop saying words in mind after that there are only mute images which disappear automatically because there is no sound in that image. Hence, the thought doesn't go further and create thought chain. Give it a try and see the results.

  9. How Mindfulness is like a magic trick

Perhaps the best way to understand mindfulness and how it is presented is to understand magic. Acts of magic involve the magician’s connection of simple actions (pulling a rabbit out of hat) to unknown or ‘magical’ mechanisms by hiding or obscuring alternative independent measures or procedures that imply less arcane or ‘miraculous’ causes. This occurs when the mechanism of action (trap door under table) is obscured by the magician through a sleight of hand that focuses the attention of the audience on the odd behavior (wave of a wand) that merely correlates with the appearance of the bunny from the hat. The essence of the magician’s trade is deflecting or obscuring explanation by diverting the audience’s attention to absurd and fanciful procedures that have no causal link to any discernable process, but with a wink to telling the audience that a simple explanation really is available, at least when the trick is revealed. To pull a rabbit out of a hat, once explained, is old hat, thus the magician wants to keep up the mystery, and surrounds the real and simple explanation with a lot of gesticulating with magic words, hand gestures, and the waving of a magic wand. In a similar way, unexplained yet effective practices such as mindfulness have an aspect of magic. It helps that mindfulness has diverse meanings, so it can mean veritably anything. So, if you are taking a time out from distraction and just being in the moment, adding in superfluous procedural layers like deep breathing, intonations to be loving and kind, psychotherapeutic jargon, and four-day training seminars full of new age cant is easy to do for what amounts to a simple psychological hat trick.

  11. Mindfulness works …

    For some people.

It drives me up the fxxking wall!
I'm forced to do this sxxt at school! Why can't those mindful 'aware' people see that it makes me want to punch things.

  12. “Every moment has meaning. Time is precious. Don’t miss out”. The beauty and truth of this presentation really does lie in its simplicity. Thank you.
