SUBSCRIBE to help our unintentional ASMR collection grow http://bit.ly/UASMR and hit that 🔔. One of the best unintentional ASMR videos for sleep. Up there with John Butler ASMR and our most popular unintentional ASMR medical exam videos we’ve featured, comes the best unintentional ASMR scientist we’ve heard yet, Prof. Russell Stannard.

We’ve always been fascinated with science related videos as they really make great for accidental ASMR gold. What’s even more appealing is a science video voiced with a very soft spoken British accent! Luckily, we’ve come across this unintentional ASMR video as suggested by one of our followers, Lee. This relaxing explanatory video features British Professor, Russell Stannard, as he talks about the mind, space, and all things science. Full credit goes to Professor Russell Stannard and The Open University, and its online learning platform, OpenLearn.

— Our Edits —

In this compilation of science learning videos, we removed the music at the start of each video, as well as a few times where Professor Stannard’s voice is raised for certain words to ensure that you only hear his gentle voiced moments. We also tidied up the audio by editing out a few sections where there were some loud moments, as well as non-relaxing parts, to specifically edited to maximize the relaxing ASMR effect of this video while you sleep. Hope you like the changes! Please let us know what you did/did not like in the comments below.

— Original Video —

Russell Stannard is a retired high-energy particle physicist, currently holding the position of Professor Emeritus of Physics at the Open University. In this compilation of ten videos, Prof. Stannard talks about subjects ranging from free will and determinism, to space and the nature of time, in this 10-part series, Boundaries of the Knowable. 1. @3:263:32 That means, you're gonna get cancelled by PETW (People for the ethical Treatment of Worms) if they see that you actually cut that worm in half. Sad part is, that agency probably actually exists.

  2. What a nonsensical thing to say. The brain is not conscious. The brain is alive. Life is conscious. Without life, there would be no brain to function or “be conscious”. Today’s scientists are beginning to sound like the priests of old. Life is immaterial. It is power, or energy. Without it; the body cannot be alive. The body is not conscious. It can’t be. Consciousness however, is. I just have to repeat it in hope that if you too are smitten by this material mumbo jumbo, then you should actually get the chance of hearing some truth. Consciousness is immaterial. What is immaterial in existence? Space itself. Consciousness is space itself. So space has come alive using matter as a vehicle to exist. Space is existing through your body now. Space is not empty. Space is the invisible canvas containing the track record of everything that has ever existed. Space is the only intelligence as it has seen everything that has come to exist so far, and so it will, forever.

  3. Great interpretations of dfferent topics related to our interactions with the physical world and the wide array of mental reactions to the emotions felt.
    Emotions are physical reactions.
Feelings are our physicological reactions to the vast emotional states that we experiment.

Both emotions wnd feelings incorporate cultural, historical, religious manifestations prevalent in different nations over time.

  4. What is the difference between being conscious and consciousness? Both mean”being aware” so what point does it shift from one to the other, because I know that a chimp can see when there is food and consciously go for it, but do they HAVE consciousness?

  5. an older video I know, and I love it, only one teeny thing though, was the bits that were cut, maybe to help the flow of the narration, but they were a bit abrupt…

  6. “Myself. My self.

That’s the problem. That’s the whole problem with the whole thing. That word, “self.” Thats not the word. That’s not right, that isn’t…How did I forget that? When did I forget that?

The body stops a cell at a time, but the brain keeps firing those neurons.

Little lightning bolts, like fireworks inside and I thought I’d despair or feel afraid, but I don’t feel any of that. None of it. Because I’m too busy. I’m too busy in the moment. Remembering. Of course. I remember that every atom in my body was forged in a star.

This matter, this body is mostly empty space after all, and solid matter? It’s just energy vibrating very slowly ; why there is no me. There never was.

The electrons of my body mingle and dance with the electrons of the ground below me and the air I’m no longer breathing. And I remember there is no point where any of that ends and I begin. I remember I am energy. Not memory. Not self. My name, my personality, my choices, all came after me.

I was before them and I will be after, and everything else is pictures, picked up along the way. Fleeting little dreamlets printed on the tissue of my dying brain.

And I am the lightning that jumps between. I am the energy firing the neurons, and I’m returning. Just by remembering, I’m returning home.

And it’s like a drop of water falling back into the ocean, of which it’s always been a part. All things… a part. You, me and my little girl, and my mother and my father, everyone’s who’s ever been, every plant, every animal, every atom, every star, every galaxy, all of it. More galaxies in the universe than grains of sand on the beach.

And that’s what we’re talking about when we say “God.”

The cosmos and its infinite dreams. We are the cosmos dreaming of itself. It’s simply a dream that I think is my life, every time. But I’ll forget this. I always do. I always forget my dreams.

But now, in this split-second, in the moment I remember, the instant I remember, I comprehend everything at once.

There is no time. There is no death. Life is a dream. It’s a wish. Made again and again and again and again and again and again and on into eternity. And I am all of it.

I am everything all at once ❤
